Mission of the post
Ensuring the proper functioning of the financial administration in accordance with the standard procedures of the institution;
Managing bank and cash books;
Supervising the accounting and financial management of the institution’s departments;
Guarantying the reliability, regularity and sincerity of the accounting and financial information of the various departments of the institution;
Ensuring the regularity and permanent compliance of the institution’s accounting information with group standards;
Ensuring the regular and timely submission of mandatory accounting documents;
Making proposals for the optimization of instruments as well as for related innovations and modifications;
Supporting knowledge management through dissemination and documenting of knowledge and achievements;
Addressing all issues that arise in the field under consideration;
Main tasks
Processing the receipts, expenses of the cashier and the bank and establishes the monthly bank reconciliation;
Ensuring cash management and letter of credit;
Ensuring permanent contact with the bank.
Monitoring the existing accounts (debts/receivables) and reporting regularly to his/her supervisor;

Executing accounting work and preparing monthly period closures/reconciliation credentials and notifying errors;
Presenting to his manager the monthly closings of the accounting of the departments, the reconciliations of the bank and cash books for validation;
Guarantying the accuracy of accounting entries;
Ensuring periodic and timely reporting on the accounting and financial situation of the institution.
Supervising and organizing the classification and adequate retention of all mandatory documents within the legal deadlines;
Providing advice on financial matters related to departments.
Participating in the development of the planning of annual internal control missions;
Ensuring internal control missions of projects according to his competences;
Monitoring and controlling the implementation of recommendations for error notifications and internal control;
Other responsibilities
Reporting immediately on all issues related to financial administration and compliance;
Providing support-advice to colleagues, partners, beneficiaries and internal and external customers;
Ensuring periodic reporting of its activities to its hierarchical superior;
Taking charge, autonomously, of specific missions at the request of his hierarchical superior;
Assisting in the execution or performs any other task deemed necessary in the course of his professional duties on the instructions of his hierarchical superior;
Qualifications, skills and experience required Qualification
Master in Management, Accounting;
Master’s in accounting, Management and specifically in a field related to the objectives of the program.
Professional experience
Have at least 5 years of professional experience in a similar position including at least 3 years in an international institution.
Experience in an audit firm would be an asset;
Skills and abilities required
Have solid technical knowledge and a perfect mastery of accounting management procedures
Have open and proactive communication skills, a participatory and transparent approach, and acute advisory and diplomatic skills;
Have impeccable integrity and ethical values and be meticulous, rigorous, vigilant and have a sense of organization;
Have an in-depth knowledge of computer-aided accounting programs;
Have a culture of confidential treatment of data and information;
Have very good working knowledge of the use of information and communication technologies (telephone, e-mail, Internet); very good command of MS OFFICE software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Winn pack;
Very good command of English (speaking/reading/writing), fluency in German would be an asset ;
