Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons for the positions of Senior Deputy Registrar, and Assistant Finance Officer at the United Methodist University-Sierra Leone.

  1. Applicants for the position of Senior Deputy Registrar should have the following qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in Administration and Management with at least five years’ continuous work experience
  • Demonstrated skills in the administration of a higher education institution
  • Knowledge of the higher education environment in Sierra Leone
  • High level computer application skills in all relevant software packages
  • Experience in handling students’ records electronically and in print
  • Good interpersonal relationship and excellent team player
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and decision making skills
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  •  Ability to implement management decisions timely
  • Recording and production of minutes of meetings timely
  • Report writing and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of procurement process

 

  1. Applicants for the position of Assistant Finance Officer should have the following Qualifications and

Experience:

  • At least a good first degree in Accounting and Finance, with a minimum of three (3) years working experience in an accounting establishment
  • Professional qualification, such as AAT, ACCA Level 1 or’ an equivalent qualification
  • Working knowledge of at least one accounting software
  • Ability to work in a team, create and maintain good interpersonal relations and be able to work under pressure
  • Knowledge in current International/National Accounting Standards and general accepted procedures

Working knowledge of computers and internet

  • Excellent human and communication skills, including report
  • Knowledge of procurement process
  • Critical thinking and decision making skills
  • Ability to implement management decisions timely
  • Fluent in English
