Concern Worldwide is a nongovernmental, international, humanitarian organisation dedicated to the reduction of suffering and working towards the ultimate elimination of extreme poverty in the worldβs poorest countries. Concern Worldwideβs integrated programming approach aims to tackle all dimensions of poverty, focusing on the overlapping areas of health, education and livelihoods while maintaining our response to emergencies. Concern fully integrates equality in all its work, with emphasis on a gender transformative approach. Concern Worldwide has been operational in Sierra Leone since 1996. Programme implementation is primarily in four districts, namely Tonkolili, Port Loko, Western Area Urban and Western Area Rural β with a presence in Kambia, Koinadugu, Falaba, Bombali and Karene.

Job Location: | Freetown, with up to 50% travel to other programme locations in Sierra Leone |
Contract Details: | One-year renewable contract. |
Job Purpose: | Within the wider Concern Sierra Leone team, take a leadership role in the mapping, relationship building and engagement with national NGO partners in order to develop trusted, effective and equitable partnerships supporting the mission of Concern to eliminate extreme poverty (and where needed with other partners: private sector, research organisations, etc,). S/he will coordinate partner assessments and mutual capacity development towards long-term organizational development objectives. S/he will be responsible for supporting project/ programme leads in managing Concernβs relationships with partners, in coordination with relevant finance, support systems and programme staff of Concern. With CMT, s/he will lead the development and implementation of Concern in Sierra Leoneβs Partnership strategy and play a key role in the internal change process and capacity building as Concern in Sierra Leone moves to increased implementation though national partners. S/he will liaise with key stakeholders at the national and regional levels and participate actively in fora related to partnership and localization in Sierra Leone. |
