Job Description for the Baseline Data Collection

Project Location: Bombali, Kono, Koinadugu, Kailahun, Tonkolili, Bo, Moyamba district

Project Duration: September 2022-August 2025 (yr3) 

Duration of Data Collection: (5) days 

 

Scope of Baseline Data Collection: 

ChildFund is looking for competent and well experienced enumerators to conduct a baseline data collection in seven districts Bombali, Kono, Tonkolili, Koinadugu, Kailahun, Bo, and Moyamba districts under the supervision of the M&E and KML Specialist and Project Coordinator. The enumerators will lead in the data collection through Focus Group Discussions, Key Informant Interviews, Participant Observations and household surveys in sampled villages in each district among household members, stakeholders, children youth, Community Health Workers, partner and ChildFund project staff, data inputting, and other required research activities.




Key Responsibilities :

  • Undertake a two-day data collection training at ChildFund head office in Freetown
  • Embark on the data collection with sampled participants on a daily basis
  • Vet and upload the data collected on a daily basis through a mobile software device
  • Report to M&E and KML Specialist and Project Coordinator any hiccup that may hinder the data collection process
  • Support the team to, clean, input and analyze data that will be used to write the baseline report

 

Skills, Requirement and Qualification :

  • Must hold at least a Diploma in the Social Sciences
  • Must be highly experienced in data collection, inputting and analysis
  • Experienced in the use of mobile app in data collection processes
  • Must have knowledge in the operational districts and chiefdoms be familiar with the local language predominantly used in the district of data collection
  • Proficient in using Microsoft packages like Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, verbal communication skills, and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively
  • Excellent written and communication skills
