1.) EARTHWORKS SUPERVISOR

Responsibilities:

The Earthworks Supervisor is responsible for the direct supervision of road works, building pad preparation, tailings storage facility preparation, drainages and trenches, and other earthworks related activities. The Earthworks Supervisor ensures control of allocated equipment and materials and cooperation with other activities going in parallel with earthworks. The goal of the position is to drive progress of earthwork activities in accordance with the Project schedule with due regard to safety and quality. The responsibilities include but not limited to:

• General supervision of tasks associated with earthworks activities.
• Management and supervision of contractors.
• Ability to operate site machinery, equipment, and tools.
• Monitor work schedule and advise of potential delays.
• Progress reporting.
• Personal compliance with Health and Safety policies, procedures, objectives and regulations and commitment to achieving Zero Harm through safe behaviors.

Skills and Experience:

• Secondary education mandatory.
• Work certificate related to the position mandatory.
• Certificate in operating equipment is an advantage.
• Other trade certificate, if any, is an advantage.
• Driver’s license mandatory.
• Five to ten (5-10) years of relevant working experience mandatory.
• Mining experience preferable.
• Understanding of schedules and drawings.
• Ability to supervise and lead a team.
• Good communication skills.

2.) TELEHANDLER OPERATOR

Responsibilities:

The Telehandler Operator must drive and operate the machine according to the basic safety standards. The responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Handle loads according to the principles of starting, driving and operating a telehandler.
• Load and unload equipment in accordance with the delivery requirements.
• Store equipment in storage areas.
• Manual labor duties that are required in this roll.
• Clean and maintain machine.
• Detect anomalies and inform the relevant department.
• Daily inspection of the machines.
• Use of recommended oils and greases.
• Regular change of filter cartridges.

Skills and Experience:

• Driving aptitude certificate for Telehandlers required.
• Junior Secondary School Diploma required.
• All categories Driving License required.
• Two-three (2-3) years of experience in a similar position required.
• Mastery of driving on a construction site.
• Knowledge of job hazards and safety measures in the field.
• Have a good physical condition.
• Good communication skills in English.

3.) CRANE OPERATOR

Responsibilities:

The Crane operator is responsible for supplying and providing with materials and equipment by means of a crane to the different trades involved in the construction site, according to the applicable safety rules. The responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Master the techniques of driving lifting gear.
• Perform stabilization operations on a lift machine.
• Sling a load.
• Master the lifting and the distribution of loads.
• Secure workstation at end of shift.
• Respect safety standards.
• Direct supervision of all lifts i.e., Rigging.
• Clean and maintain machines.
• Detect anomalies and perform simple troubleshooting.
• Daily inspection of the machines and use of recommended oils and greases.
• Regular change of filter cartridges.

Skills and Experience

• Driving aptitude certificate for Cranes required.
• Junior Secondary School Diploma required.
• All categories Driving License required.
• At least 5 years of experience as crane operator mandatory.
• Mastery of driving on a construction site.
• Good communication skills in English.
• Ability to supervise a small team as needed.
• Knowledge of job hazards and safety measures in the field.
