Job Summary :
Masanga Hospital is a Government Partnership Hospital with the sole aim of promoting the health system of Sierra Leone. One of our fundamental principles is the provision of effective cost recovery service to our patients and to maintain financial sustainability in the running of the Hospital.
Massing Hospital is also a teaching Hospital hosting the Surgical Training Program STP and the Tonkolili District College of Health Sciences TDCHS. These programs therefore offer amazing learning opportunities for growing Health Care workers.
We are currently seeking qualified Community Health Officer CHOs to fill relevant gaps in the Hospital and to Support the Medical Team in the delivery of effective and quality health care service to our patients.
Main Duties :
The post holder shall perform but not limited to the following:
- Responding to medical/ health problems presented by patients as the first point of contact in the OPD of the Hospital

- Do investigations, diagnosis, treatments and admissions of patients as and when appropriate
- Admitting patients and ensure clinical care followed by diagnosis, investigations and treatment. Liaising with other medical and non-medical staff in the hospital to ensure quality treatment is giving to the patients
- Working long and unpredictable hours in the Hospital depending on the patients’ need and for the purpose of saving lives.
- Perform other duties related to the roles and department as may be required by the Medical Doctor or clinician in charge
Supervise other nurses in the ward and ensure the correct medical treatment of the hospitalized patients is administered.

Requirements and qualifications:
Applicant must at least completed a Higher Diploma in Community Health & Clinical Studies (CHO) or its equivalent
