GIZ GmbH is supporting the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development of the Government of Sierra Leone in the implementation of the Employment Promotion Programme (EPP). The overall objective is to create employment for the younger generation through business development in the agricultural and other sectors and to enhance the employability of young people in the but not limited to rural areas of Falaba, Kailahun, Kono and Koinadugu. Our approach is gender and inclusion oriented.
GIZ GmbH currently has two (2) vacancies, one each in Kabala and Koidu: Driver (D)

Driver (D)
Willingness and ability to work in remote areas of Sierra Leone (exclusion criterium).
Literate (exclusion criterium).
At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in related fields/positions (max. 30 points).
Knowledge and practical experience in car mechanics or related fields (max 25 points).
Knowledge of vehicle safety regulations (max. 20 points).
Completed driving trainings (max. 15 points).
Proven committed and reliable self-starter. (max. 10 points).

- The driver reports directly to the Procurement and Logistics Officer.
- He/she will provide passenger transport in a company car for office, project or programme staff, official visitors and guests.
- Is responsible for the safety condition of the vehicle.
- Carries out regular vehicle inspections and refills air, diesel, lubricant, water and brake fluid, etc. as required.
- Is responsible for the vehicle equipment (presence of e.g. jack and tools, first aid box etc.).
- Carries out errands for the project, programme or office, e.g. sending letters and messages, paying bills and purchasing small quantities of office supplies and transporting goods.
- Fills in the driver's log correctly and conscientiously according to GIZ standards.





Expected starting date is the 15.07.2021.
