GOAL is recruiting to fill the following positions:
1.) WASH Technician
2.) Community Mobilizer
GOAL was first operational in Sierra Leone in 1999, the current country programme has a strategic focus on health (health system strengthening and adolescent sexual reproductive health), water and sanitation systems (faecal sludge management, sanitation marketing & water infrastructure) and Protection. GOAL is currently working in seven districts in Sierra Leone.

1.) WASH Technician
GOAL is looking to recruit a qualified, flexible, and enthusiastic professional to work within the WASH team and partners as a WASH Technician based in Kenema District. Under the supervision of the Senior WASH Technician, the WT will work closely with the Senior WASH Technician to supervise the rehabilitation of hand dug wells by contractors and coordinate the work with the local community and the local leaders and government and to ensure timely completion of high quality well rehabilitations in his/her designated operational area, and regularly reports progress and challenges to the Senior WASH Technician
To succeed in this role, you will have a Technical Diploma in Engineering (building and construction) or related field of Study, or third level city and guilds qualification, with at least two (2) years of professional experience in working with reputable borehole drilling company or supervising borehole drilling while working with another Organisation or institution. Work on WASH Programmes with an international NGO or related training Experience will be an advantage. Good computer skills with a sound working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, Excellent written and oral English, and ability to speak Mende is an advantage.

2.) Community Mobilizer
GOAL is looking to recruit a qualified, flexible, and enthusiastic professional to work within the WASH team and partners as a Community Mobilizer based in Kenema District. Under the supervision of the Behavioural Change Supervisor, the CM will work closely with District Health Management Team (DHMT) District council, and Water Directorate to facilitate discussions with community members and to promote good hygiene practices and stimulate households to construct and use their own latrine and regularly reports progress and challenges to the Behavioural Change Supervisor.
To succeed in this role, you must have a diploma in community development, Public Health or a related field of study with at least 1 year experience working with communities in a CBO or NGO environment, basic computer skills with the use of Microsoft Word.
