GOAL was first operational in Sierra Leone in 1999, the current country programme has a strategic focus on health (health system strengthening and adolescent sexual reproductive health), water and sanitation systems (faecal sludge management, sanitation marketing & water infrastructure) and Protection. GOAL is currently working in seven districts in Sierra Leone.
GOAL is looking to recruit a qualified, flexible, and enthusiastic professional to work within the Health Team as a Health Programme Officers based in Koinadugu, Karena, Kambia, Falaba and Kenema. Under the supervision of the District Delivery Managers/Health Programme Manager, the Health Programme Officers will be responsible for Supervising the rollout at the district and Chiefdom levels the CLA approach supporting Community mobilizers to facilitate the Community Led Action in all chiefdoms: Koinadugu, Karena, Kambia, Falaba and Kenema to trigger follow up on community action planning sessions and feedback & rumour tracking form from the community.
To succeed in this role, you will have a Diploma in Public Health, Community Development Studies Sociology or any other health or development studies with at least 1-2 years’ experience working with International NGO in community Health Programme. Experience in Community Mobilization and community participatory approach, Trainings and working with community structures. Excellent English and Krio language proficiency, both written and spoken. Skills using Microsoft Office, Excel, Word. Ability and Willingness to ride a motor bike in remote and hard to reach areas is a MUST.
