Job Summary:Β Β
The CP Technical Advisor β Partner Safeguarding is a new or current CRS staff member who will oversee and coordinate the roll-out of the forthcoming partner safeguarding procedures and minimum standards toΒ implementing partners at the CP level.
The responsibilities laid out in this job description will be carried out in consultation with the positionβsΒ supervisor, the Technical Partnership Advisor
Job responsibilities:Β Β
Regional Coordination and LearningΒ Β
- Participate in a series of ToT (Training of Trainers) events on the partner safeguardingΒ procedure/framework and minimum standards
- Act as a liaison between the CP and the Regional Partner Safeguarding Advisor on partnerΒ safeguarding
- Participate in relevant learning events and a regional partner safeguarding community of practiceΒ and share experiences and lessons learnt with other partner safeguarding staff
Implementation of Partner Safeguarding ProceduresΒ
- Conduct a mapping of implementing partners and develop CP partner safeguarding annualΒ workplan in collaboration with other relevant CP staff
- Organize orientation sessions for senior partner staff on the minimum standards and assessmentΒ process and tools
- Coordinate and conduct partnersafeguarding assessments according to the proceduresΒ β’Β Coordinate with other relevant CP staff and departments supporting the partner assessmentΒ process and collating their contributions (if applicable)
- Ensure partners submit improvements plans following the outcome of their assessment as perΒ procedure
- Conduct partner follow-up visits within the required timeframe
- Coordinate all partner safeguarding capacity strengthening activities in line with the partnerβsΒ improvement plan. This includes:
- Providing partners with relevant templates and tools
- Organise and conduct online or face-to-face training to partners and technicalΒ accompaniment on relevant minimum standards (as per training materials and guidanceΒ provided by the Ethics Unit)
- Coordinate technical support of other CP staff and departments (e.g. Investigation FocalΒ Point, HR, MEAL) to partners
- In consultation with the Regional Partner Safeguarding Advisor, to contextualize and makeΒ necessary adaptations of partner safeguarding training materials and tools provided by the EthicsΒ Unit
- Coordinate, conduct and communicate the re-assessments of partners as per the PartnerΒ Safeguarding Procedure
- Ensure that documentation from the assessments, re-assessments and follow-up visits are safelyΒ stored in the office and relevant documents are uploaded onto Gateway
Community Level SafeguardingΒ
- support partners to undertake awareness raising on safeguarding
- support partner to identify/ form community owned complaint and feedback mechanismsΒ β’Β strengthening the linkage between community Complaint and feedback mechanisms and the CRS tollΒ Free line
Coordination and communication at CP levelΒ Β
- Be the first point of contact for partners in relation to the partner safeguarding procedures andΒ provide partners with appropriate information and technical resources
- Be the first point of contact for CP staff in relation to the partner safeguarding procedures andΒ other partner safeguarding requests and questions
- Write regular (e.g., monthly/quarterly) progress reports on the roll-out of the partner safeguardingΒ procedures and share with supervisor, SMT, partnership staff and regional partner safeguardingΒ advisor
- Organise regular meetings with key program, risk& compliance, operations, partnership staff (ifΒ applicable) and any other relevant CP staff to provide update on the status, progress, andΒ challenges of rolling out partner safeguarding procedures at the CP level
- Ensure the coordination of all partner safeguarding activities with other CP staff involved in partnerΒ capacity building activities or assessments, including SRFMP and HOCAI
- If applicable, serve as the point of contact at the CP level for Empower and other CRS initiatives onΒ partner safeguarding
- If applicable, serve as the point of contact at the CP level on ensuring compliance with partnerΒ safeguarding procedures within HRD emergency responses
- any other tasks/duties as assigned by the supervisor
Candidate ProfileΒ
Basic Qualifications:Β Β
- Minimum of five years of experience in the humanitarian or development sector
- Β Minimum of three years of experience in designing and conducting trainings and/or implementingΒ partnership capacity strengthening initiatives
- Experience of having worked directly with senior staff of implementing partners
- Β Previous experience in the field of protection or safeguarding
- Experience in conducting assessments (preferred)
Education and ExperienceΒ Β
- preferable a Masterβs degree in Social Sciences, Social Work, Development, Project Management,Β Organizational Development, Psychology, Business or Public Administration

Job Title: Deputy Project DirectorΒ

Job Summary:Β Β
The Deputy Project Director will provide project management and technical guidance and oversight to theΒ planning, and delivery of global fund projects. Coordination will include SR management and capacityΒ strengthening as needed.
Roles and Key Responsibilities:Β Β
- Support the global fund Project Director (PD) to coordinate project engagement with the Sub recipients and disease focal leads of the Ministry of Health and Sanitation, ensuring a highlyΒ coordinated, effective engagement, and strong partnership.
- Supply technical support and guidance on Implementing the global fund NFM3 project, andΒ community systems strengthening.
- Coordinate with the Monitoring, Evaluation, Learning, and Accountability (MEAL) department toΒ oversee the design and implementation of the monitoring and evaluation system, using proper forms,Β procedures, and tools for data collection and analysis, promoting ICT4D as the basis for measuring,Β documenting, and reporting outcomes.
- Support the Global Fund Project Director to manage and mitigate risk. Ensure compliance with the GF grant including oversight of partner budgets, finance and administration, and reporting.Β β’Β Coordinate relationships with partner organizations. Contribute to coordination of roles and activitiesΒ of staff from consortium member organizations in implementation in line with CRS partnershipΒ principles.
- Support team growth and keep proper conditions for learning. Establish a safe environment for sharingΒ ideas, solutions, and difficulties and the ability to detect, analyze and respond quickly to deficiencies.Β Β β’Β Find performance gaps and training opportunities for CRS and partner staff and ensure the design andΒ delivery of high-quality training and technical aid.
- Led project teams on integrating donor strategies, priorities, and technical requirements into CRSβΒ approach while contributing to learning and training strategies and agendas/curriculums, conducting training and workshops, and mentoring and coaching CP staff.
- Contribute to developing and implementing agency-wide strategies, standards, tools, and bestΒ practices as they relate to knowledge of communicable and non-communicable diseases and theirΒ related interventions.
- Led review and validation of technical documents, training materials, and policy briefs to meetΒ national and CRS, and international standards.
- Ensure adaptation of evidence- and/or science-based approaches in the implementation of global fundΒ activities.
Basic Qualifications:Β Β
Education and ExperienceΒ Β
- Degree in Medicine, or any health-related undergraduate degree is a must.
- Masterβs degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Behavior, Medicine, or related sector is an addedΒ advantage.
- Minimum of three (3) years relevant working experience in project implementation, an advisory orΒ management role with progressive responsibilities, ideally with an international NGO.Β β’Β Previous experience providing technical assistance and developing successful proposals for externalΒ donor funding is required.
- Demonstrated application of technical principles and concepts in health programming. GeneralΒ knowledge of other related disciplines to ensure proper cross-sectoral approach.
- Experience in business development, project design and proposal development in health includingΒ technical writing.
- Experience in mentoring, coaching, facilitation, and training applying adult learning principles andΒ practices.
- Experience with program monitoring and evaluation, including applying data collection tools andΒ methodologies, data analysis, and data presentation.
- Experience and skills in networking and relations with donors, peer organizations, and faith-based andΒ civil society partners. Understanding of partnership principles.
- Proficient in MS Office packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Web Conferencing Applications,Β information and budget management systems, knowledge-sharing networks.
Required LanguagesΒ βΒ English Language (Krio is optional).Β
TravelΒ β Must be willing to travel up to 50%
