Role purpose

The role supports the Business Systems Manager on all administrative functions, systems and tools of the country programme.Β To provide effective and efficient administrative support to enable the smooth functioning of the country programme by providing logistics and procurement support.

Key outcomes

  • Good relationship with third parties, suppliers and partners are maintained through positive communication
  • Logistical support to the Business Systems Manager including procurement of office supplies
  • Β Support the Business Systems Manager in the maintenance of vehicles, reviewing logbooks, and fuel management for vehicles and generators.
  • Ensure operations are in line with relevant policies and procedures.
  • Ensure asset records are accurately maintained in Reftab
  • Ensure safety and hygiene is maintained in the office premises
  • Maintenance of assets list – Property maintained and basic property maintenance functions conducted in compliance with health and safety.
  • Proper maintenance of stock records
  • Administrative support to the team

Role purpose

To raise the Christian Aid’s profile through effective content management for the country programme, the global organization as well as with key stakeholders in Sierra Leone. The role focuses on program communications and corporate communication.Β  He/She identifies, documents and shares varied mix of content including, case studies, interviews, blogs, photos and films in line with CA’s communication guideline, that show how Christian Aid Sierra Leone and partners are changing lives of the poor and marginalised in line with our strategic plan

Key outcomes

  • A content plan is maintained and reviewed regularly to guide the use of existing communication content and ensure that future communication materials (case studies, reports, newsletters and films etc) are developed in a timely and effective way for regular publication, key country programme events in line with the organizational brand.
  • Work collaboratively with all project teams to ensure necessary program planning, development of learning events, resource availability and management activities function smoothly and efficiently with high quality communication materials produced and properly disseminated through the best channels.
  • Implement an effective communication plans that helps to raise awareness and provide specific insights into the impacts of projects as may be required.
  • Working closely with staff to identify newsworthy stories for traditional and online media while ensuring regular content on all social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram).
  • Regular monitoring on communications performance metrics
  • Carrying out any other duties commensurate with the general level of responsibility of the post

The role works within the Sierra Leone Country team and will be lined managed by the Thematic Health Advisor, working with the different project and technical leads as well as workstream leads across the country programme to ensure proper and adequate communication activities in-line with CA Communication strategy/guide lines using different platform and modalities. Develop and adapt approaches to disseminate programme results and impact to communities, partners, government and other development actors.
