KADDRO – SL is a Non-Governmental Organization having it headquarters in Kambia and operating in Kambia and Koinadugu district, primarily focused in improving the lives of Poor and Vulnerable Rural Women, children and Youths through Nutrition, Livelihood Support, Life Skills Development, Natural Resource Management, Advocacy and Lobbying on Women’s Land Right, Community Climate Resilience and Financial Inclusion.
KADDRO – SL and its partner (CAFOD) received funds from the European Union (EU) for the Youth Economic Empowerment through Strengthened Vegetable Value Chains in Sierra Leone Project.
KADDRO – SL is looking for suitable qualify Sierra Leonean to fill in the position for Port Loko and Kambia.
POSITION: Project Officer (2)
DURATION: 9 months
LOCATION: Kambia and Port Loko Districts
- Skills/Competence
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to establish maintain good relationship with people of different nationals and cultural background
- A strong theoretical and practical knowledge in Microsoft office
- Excellent skills in leadership
- Fluency in English speaking and writing as well
- Excellent report writing skills
- Requirements
- Must be a holder of first degree from a recognized institution
- A Master in Agribusiness or any relevant discipline is an added advantage
- Must have at least two (2) years working experience in NGO work in Sierra Leone.
- Must have the ability to work under pressure and meet dead lines
- Must have the ability to work in emergency response
- Holder of a valid driving license
- Responsibilities
- Providing with management and other stakeholders technical advice for sound decision making on the implementation of the project and for proper planning purposes
- Identifying bottlenecks to implementation and trouble-shooting issues in Project
- Developing Youths and Agronomists capacity to plan, budget & monitor their implementation based on the KADDRO’s Project Plan.
- Development of long-term strategic plans based on researched evidence, including; Sectors and other Development Partners on specific problems as commissioned by statutory documents like the NGO policy.
- Reporting on progress, challenges and lessons learnt of a project.
- Collection, processing and analysis of data in relation to the socio-economic livelihood of the people of KADDRO operational areas
- Developing questionnaires for surveys
- Publication of data, journals and news letters
- Monitor and report on all KADDRO activities from Planning, implementation, Monitoring and Evaluation.
- Any other duty assigned by Management
- Applying standard Programme management system to ensure Programme implementation is in line with agreed timeframe, plans and budget, as detailed in the funding agreement
