TrΓ³caire on behalf of WOFHARD is currently seeking a Project Officer to implement a 28-month EU-fundedΒ  project titled β€˜Supporting Gender Equality & Social Accountability through a Strengthened Civil Society’.

WOFHRAD Sierra Leone will be responsible for implementing the project in the Bombali district focusingΒ  on women’s empowerment, social accountability and dialogue creation, gender equality, women’sΒ  participation and governance issues.

The Project Officer will be responsible for the overall management and leadership of the project and theΒ  development of strategies and collaboration with project staff. Under the supervision of the ProgrammeΒ  Coordinator, the Project Officer works in collaboration with the cross-functional team for the overallΒ  management of the project.

 

Requirement :

  • Graduate university degree or diploma in Development work or a related field of study.
  • Β At least 5 years of demonstrable experience in the management of development projects withΒ  NGO/INGOs
  • Sound experience in developing the project budget, concept note and report writing.
  • Β Β Β Experience in organizing and facilitating meetings, workshops, and training activities, particularlyΒ  with women’s groups, and CSO at the district level.
  • Experience in communications and use of social media in organizational development
  • Β Implementing European Union project activities is an added advantage.

  • Minimum two years of accounting, finance and administration experience gained preferablyΒ  with a non-profit organization.
