Security Control Officer Job Summary

Goldtree Sierra Leone is a diversified and dynamic agriculture company based and headquartered at Old Mill Road Daru – Kailahun District With 10,000 organic RSPO certified palm oil farmers, the largest cooperative in the world. We are seeking for a reliable, professional Security Control Officer (SCO) to patrol, monitor and report all security issues in our Company. The Security Control Officer is a Permanent project-based position at Goldtree SL Ltd. You will be physically and mentally fit to work in this position, prevent theft, violence, and infraction of rules by maintaining a highly visible presence. You must prevent illegal or inappropriate actions, detect, deter, observe, and report all issues to increase overall security and safety in our Company.

Security Control Officer Duties and Responsibilities

• Physical Protection of Company’s Assets, personnel, Product, Equipment, & confidential Information at all operational sites.

• Preparing and handling documentations, Registers designed to support Company operations, business initiatives and plans.

• Understanding, Implementing, and enforcing all Standing Operating Procedures (SOPs), Orders, Policies & Instructions in line with Company Security Management and security culture.

• Ability to maintain Company security culture and displaying willingness to enforce state and company-enforced safety policy.

• Manning posts & access points, conduction of patrols across farms, and HQ to deter intrusions and sinister activities and supporting company security strategy.

• Respond to safety, security incidents and reporting security breaches to ensure appropriate responses per operational requirements and maintaining team spirit.

• Support and participate in security training initiatives responsibilities and planned mentoring to upgrade security acumen.

• Exhibit a strong physical and authoritative presence that will help deter criminal activity.

• Write, maintain, and present detailed incident reports, noting damages, theft, or other irregular activity.

• Ability to coordinate with other security teams across all sites. Security Control Officer Requirements and Qualifications

• High school Certificate (W.A.S.S.C.E), any other Security related Certificate is an added advantage.

• Significant work experience as a former police, military or other relevant Security Position.

• Physically and mentally fit to work in extreme conditions and remote areas.

• Basic literacy & numeracy skills necessary for reporting and communications.

• Extensive working knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols.

• Keen surveillance skills and detail orientation.

• Integrity, professionalism, and character beyond reproach and physical & mental agility

• Flexible schedule (including nights and weekends).

• Capacity to work in a multidisciplinary team.

• Willingness to work across different operational sites.

• Ability to handle security documentation
