Core TaskΒ
You deal with the matters and job orders assigned to you after prior consultation with your lineΒ Β manager. You also respond promptly and competently to matters that fall within your assignedΒ Β thematic area, where applicable in consultation with experienced specialists, and followingΒ Β consultation remain available to answer further enquiries.
You clearly communicate the relevant requirements, conditions, and restrictions in terms of yourΒ Β capacity to act with due regard for compliance rules and P+R. You deal with the matters and jobΒ Β orders assigned to you with due regard for all the legal, contractual, socio-political, and corporateΒ Β policy requirements and the instructions of your line manager and follow up the processing andΒ Β completion of those tasks.
In consultation with experienced specialists, you enter into contracts with due regard for all theΒ Β legal, contractual, socio-political, and corporate policy requirements and the instructions of yourΒ Β line manager and follow up the processing and fulfilment of those contracts.
You assist in formulating and producing targeted and relevant PR content that is to beΒ Β disseminated via various internal and external platforms in connection with the objectives of theΒ Β country office.
You also provide support in developing and implementing the communication strategy andΒ Β guidelines for internal and external communications that are produced by the divisions andΒ Β projects in the respective country and help to ensure that they are up to date. Working withΒ Β experienced specialists, you resolve problems that arise in your area of responsibility on the
basis of existing rules and draw attention to more complex challenges in your team.Β In addition, you deal with all associated matters in your thematic area promptly and competently.Β Β You perform the tasks assigned to you by your line manager, where required.Β Β Main ActivitiesΒ
βͺΒ Contributions to internal and external communication platforms such as social media and press releases.
βͺΒ Supporting projects with communication guidelines and compliance according to GIZ rulesΒ and standards.
βͺΒ Press reviews and summaries.
βͺΒ Knowledge management: Keeping MS SharePoint folders, GIZ internal platforms andΒ databases up to date (e.g. photo databank, relevant documents, and articles).
βͺΒ Management of the external correspondence of the Country Director.
βͺΒ Assistance of the Country Director with the preparation and documentation of meetings,Β schedule, and travel logistics.
Required qualifications, competences, and experience.Β
QualificationsΒ
βͺΒ BA/BScΒ in communication, political science and/ or economics is also required, as well asΒ sufficient work experience.
βͺΒ Masterβs degree in communication, political science and/ or economics is an addedΒ advantage.
βͺΒ Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
Professional experienceΒ
βͺΒ At least 2 yearsβ experience of communication work (e.g. social media) in an internationalΒ organization or international business or media institution.
