Annex: Job description for the Intern to support the implementation of TVET activities
Duty station: | Freetown |
Duration/period of assignment | Three (3) months (January to March 2024) |
Job purpose | The incumbent should technically and operationally support the implementation of the TVET sub sector output’s 1 & 2 ( soft skills training and Dual apprenticeship intervention) Specifically, the incumbent will conduct the following:
- Support the identification, selection and managing training intervention with service providers
- Support in the planning and monitoring of relevant weekly and monthly activities as planned by the TEVT technical team
- Support in timely information and knowledge management on implementation progress by service providers in the operational districts
- Support the organization partner meetings
- Relate with trainees on implementation matters
- Provide hands on support to the TVET technical team.

Deliverables |
- Monthly activity report
- Back to office report on field monitoring progress
- Clear and professional Communication with service providers for soft skills as well as training institutions.
- Identify specific self-development skills and laisse with the TVET technical team including the team leader for support as and when needed.
- Participate in the collation of monthly activity budgets from the districts and Freetown
- Undertake field visits and verify measures implemented by service provider
- Liaise with the M&E unit on implementation outcomes
- Support other departments as and when requested
- Prepare and submit brief final report on the internship

Formal Qualification |
- University degree in relevant subject[s] but Candidates who have just completed university within the last six (6) months do have an added advantage.

- Excellent writing and communication skills in English.
- Very good digital Office skills.
- Reliable and discreet.
- Ability to work well with others in a respectful and collaborative work environment.
- Must possess a good work ethic.
- Ability to work under pressure
