Responsibilities

CARE Sierra Leone is seeking a talented visionary to assume the role of a Health Officer to help with the implementation and day-to-day management of the health component. In meeting this responsibility, the health Officer is also accountable for the monitoring of the project’s health inputs and outputs, and ensuring targets are achieved. Also, S/he will be responsible for ensuring that the Health project activities program works in accordance with CARE regulations, norms, and standards to ensure high program quality.

This role will report directly to the District Team Lead, with dotted lines to the Health and Nutrition Manager.

  • Perform field Observations, conduct interviews with stakeholders in health systems, collect samples, write reports, and study disease vectors to find ways to counteract the spread of contagions.
  • Implementation of activities: Provide technical guidance and supervision of all our health activities/interventions and ensure quality control in all stages of the activity implementation. He or she will be moving throughout the program sites at length to ensure quality implementation is happening at the field level.
  • Compliance agreement with CARE standard: Develop a compliance monitoring plan such as checklists to track compliance in close consultation with the project Director to Deliver program quality standard implementation. Support monitoring of staff and communities’ compliance to safeguarding principles on protection against sexual harassment exploitation and abuse (PHSEA) at all levels.

Qualifications

  • Possess experience and education in Project: You must have a bachelor’s degree in health, or other related discipline experience, bringing with you at least 3 years of experience as a Health Officer or similar experiences and a thorough knowledge of project practices.
  • Have communication and reporting skills needed to deliver and conduct both oral and written training sessions for small, medium, and large-sized groups. Be able to tell the story and know when it’s applicable to convert data to conversation.
  • Be a problem solver and critical thinker. You must be able to clearly identify and define the different levels of problem-solving and resolution. Think holistically with a vision and use your analytics and reporting skills,
  • Be a leader with influence. Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and negotiation skills with internal and external partners with the ability to be a team player.
  • Know your systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel and Word and good skills at using Medical health tools and software applications (PeopleSoft experience will be preferred).

Responsibilities

The Procurement Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the procurement function, from planning and sourcing to contract management and supplier relations. This role requires a dynamic and experienced professional with a proven track record in procurement and supply chain management.

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with program managers and other stakeholders to understand procurement needs and requirements.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify potential suppliers and ensure a diverse and competitive supplier base.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers to secure favorable agreements.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and monitor their performance.
  • Oversee the entire procurement process, from requisition to delivery, ensuring compliance with CARE policies and donor regulations.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures for the procurement function.
  • Conduct regular reviews of procurement processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Draft, review, and manage contracts and agreements with suppliers.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions.
  • Monitor and manage contract performance and take appropriate actions as needed.
  • Collaborate with finance and program teams to align procurement activities with budgetary constraints.
  • Implement cost-saving initiatives and strategies without compromising quality.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree or professional qualification is an advantage.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement and supply chain management, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  • In-depth knowledge of procurement best practices, regulations, and market trends.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

CARE Sierra Leone is seeking a talented visionary to assume the role of a Senior Accounting Analyst for its country office. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, this role will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks that help to make sure the organization’s Account stay on track. These include day to day accounting activities, forecasting, and modelling in addition to reporting duties which can involve anything from preparing reports all the way up to assisting with close processes like selloffs or mergers.

  • Day-to-Day Duties: Analyse current and past financial data and performance, and prepare reports and projections based on analysis.
  • Daily account record keeping is a finance department function that entails reconciling the organization’s financial records.
  • Compliance agreement with CARE standard: abide by CARE’s policy and regulations such as checklists to track compliance. Complying with CARE’s policy of safeguarding principles on protection against sexual harassment exploitation and abuse (PHSEA) at all levels.

Qualifications

CARE’s Sierra Leone & Liberia Country Office is seeking an experienced and dynamic Program Development Advisor to lead funding cultivation efforts in both Liberia and Sierra Leone. Reporting to the Assistant Country Director of Program Quality and collaborating closely with the Country Director and Senior Management Team, the Program Development Advisor will coordinate relationships across internal CARE funding offices and teams, gather funding information, build in-country donor and stakeholder relationships, track and update resource mobilization plans and strategies, design and write proposals, and lead after-action reviews for proposal processes. The ideal candidate will not only possess relevant experience but will also be highly motivated, capable of rapid learning, and able to demonstrate tangible results.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate relationships across internal CARE funding offices and teams to identify opportunities for funding and partnerships, both within CARE and through external relationships held by CARE’s offices.
  • Gather funding intel from various sources to inform resource development.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with donors and stakeholders in Sierra Leone and Liberia.
  • Represent CARE in meetings, presentations, and informal settings with donors, government, partners, and other key stakeholders.
  • Track, update, and execute resource mobilization plans and strategies; manage pipeline tracker.
  • Design and write compelling concept notes, proposals, and donor cultivation materials in English.
  • Collaborate across departments (program technical leads, MEAL, finance, HR, etc.) when developing concept notes and proposals, including technical approaches, budgets, and results frameworks.
  • Lead after-action reviews for proposal processes to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred.
