Office Assistant
Job Summary
The Office Assistant is responsible to implement a high standard of cleanliness for the SLCRP Project Office, ensuring to provide administrative support to staff and to maintaining the smooth functioning of the office.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the set-up and clean-up for events and meetings
- Clean and sanitize all assigned areas thoroughly.
- Provide appropriate cleaning products for different surfaces and materials.
- Continuously monitor, identify and report any maintenance or repair needs to supervisor
- Monitor daily staff time book to ensure staff availability
- Receive letters/official documents on behalf of the project manager
- Ensure clean drinking water is regularly provided in the office
- Clean workspaces, common areas and bathrooms
- Sweep, mop, and buff hardwood floors as needed
- Taking out the garbage
- Participate in training programs designed to enhance self-skills and knowledge
- Provide general administrative support to staff.
Qualifications and Experience
The Post Holder is required to possess the following qualities and to maintain compliance with CSSL Rules and policies at all times:
- Certificate or diploma in Office Management (For Assistants) or a related field
- At least 3 years of relevant experience .
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with community stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively in team and under pressure in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Excellent organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- knowledge of local languages in the targeted area is an advantage.

Objective 1: Implement Project Activities at the field level
Safeguarding Officer
Job Summary
The Safeguarding Officer is responsible to take reasonable care of the health and safety of self, other persons and resources whilst at work. This entails supporting the CSSLβs responsibilities under the Safeguarding Policy. Demonstrate day to day commitment to the CSSLβs core values of mission statement. Carry out such reasonable additional duties as may from time to time be determined by or on behalf of the Organization.
Responsibilities:
- Act as a first point of contact providing a confidential information and advice service for SLCRP project staff on safeguarding related concerns including child protection disclosures
- Establish, maintain and develop effective relationships which engage staff, especially those identified as being at risk to remove potential barriers, so that assistance and support can be offered within a professional relationship on an ongoing basis if appropriate
- Ensure effective sign-posting of services and referrals by developing good working relationships with staff and other stakeholders
- Produce risk assessments and support plans to safeguard project staff and share as appropriate with other individuals with consent, adhering to CSSL code of conduct.
- Ensure that data protection and client confidentiality requirements are met, including the confidential storage of client records, obtaining client permission before sharing information, assessing risk and where appropriate breaking confidentiality in order to ensure the health and safety of individuals
- Coordinate training to the project staff on specific safeguarding topics
- Undertake mandatory safeguarding and child protection training including updates and other professional development activities to ensure that CSSL is compliant in meeting its statutory duty in safeguarding practice
- Actively promote and SLCRP project towards safeguarding
Objective 2: Reporting and archiving
- Prepare required periodic report for CSSL on all field related activities
- Report to line manager about any problems and constraints during the implementation of activities
- Report the activities on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis to the project manager
- Keep all the records of the activities, input delivery /supply and ensure the quality and quantity of inputs according to the ToRs
- Any other official tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Objective 3: Participate in the evaluation and reorientation of the project
- Participate in all project activities including meetings
- Analyze and build on experiences in order to share the lessons learned
- Propose new directions for the project to the Project Manager
Qualifications and Experience

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with community stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively in team and under pressure in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Excellent organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Fluency in English with knowledge of local languages in the targeted area is an advantage.

Livelihoods Officer
Job Summary
The Livelihoods officer is responsible for effective mainstreaming of sustainable livelihoods approach/agenda into conservation and development program and processes. Responsible for developing, planning, monitoring, and evaluation of sustainable livelihoods agenda to document lesson learnt and support for fund raising. Majorly, the role will focus on providing skills building, mapping and developing livelihood activities to improve well-being.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage all WASH related programs of the project including designing infrastructure, overseeing and construction, ensuring quality.
- Support the implementation of the livelihood components of the programme
- Support CSSLβs contribution to policy action on livelihoods, and community development programmes
- Ensure the implementation of the livelihoods component of the programme against annual work-plan, targets, time-plans and result indicators
- Responsible for logistical implementation of livelihoods goods, including distribution of goods to the distribution point
- Organize a conducive location for the training of beneficiaries and ensure training materials and tools are adequate to deliver the training
- Ensure timely and quality progress reporting in line with agreed templates and schedules review reports; provide feedback to CSSL and partners
- Regularly monitoring field activities and providing timely inputs and feedback to the Project Manager
- Ensure systematic documentation and filing
