1.) Asset Finance Associate

About the Asset Finance Associate Role

The Asset Finance Associate role involves proactively identifying and securing new business opportunities, building relationships with corporate clients and financial institutions, and managing partnerships to expand access to Easy Solar products. The associate will work closely with companies to facilitate staff acquisition of Easy Solar products through structured payment plans over time and liaise with financial institutions to design asset finance schemes for customers of banks and micro finance institutions.

General Responsibilities

  • Sales & Business Development: Identify and engage potential corporate clients and financial institutions to expand Easy Solar’s asset financing programs.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with businesses and financial institutions to secure new sales opportunities.
  • Asset Financing Sales Execution: Promote Easy Solar’s financing solutions to corporate employees and bank customers, driving product uptake.
  • Negotiation & Closing Deals: Support negotiations and assist in securing agreements with companies and financial institutions for structured financing schemes.
  • Portfolio Management: Monitor asset finance portfolio performance, track repayments, and identify potential risks or default trends.
  • Customer Support: Engage with customers to explain financing options, resolve payment-related inquiries, and provide financial education where necessary.
  • Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in the asset financing process and propose data-driven improvements.
  • Compliance & Reporting: Ensure adherence to financial regulations, internal policies, and prepare periodic sales and financial reports for management review.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with sales, operations, marketing and finance teams to optimize asset finance solutions and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities to refine sales strategies and gain a competitive advantage.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in sales, business development, asset financing, microfinance, or banking.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency in sales software, CRM tools, and MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience working in emerging markets or the renewable energy sector is a plus.

About The Role

The Corporate Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales and marketing initiatives across Business-to-Business (B2B) and Business-to-Government (B2G) segments, as well as managing the Government Employee Payroll Deduction Scheme (PDS). This role involves developing corporate partnerships, engaging financial institutions, and securing agreements to expand Easy Solar’s asset financing solutions. The ideal candidate should have strong sales, marketing, relationship management, and negotiation skills with a track record of successfully managing corporate and government accounts.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales & Business Development: Identify and secure new business opportunities across B2B and B2G segments to drive growth.
  • Government Payroll Deduction Scheme (PDS): Manage and grow the PDS portfolio, ensuring seamless onboarding and engagement of government employees.
  • Marketing & Promotion: Develop and execute marketing strategies to enhance brand visibility and drive customer acquisition.

About The Role

Easy Solar’s current operations are supported by sales managers and sales supervisors who manage a large team of agents, running local shops and stores, who  in turn are in charge of daily interactions with Easy Solar’s customers. We are looking to hire a Sales Representative with extensive experience within the Corporate Community in Sierra Leone to develop a new sales channel by selling directly to companies, NGOs, organizations and governmental or para-governmental agencies.

General Duties and Responsibilities

The Sales Representative will be in charge of:

  • Growing Sales and Marketing
    • Identifying potential corporate customers and developing innovative ways to market company products on a regular basis
    • Submit proposals to clients, do active follow-up with potential customers, and try to work to close the sale.
    • Actively pursue business opportunities with large scale factories/industries proposing large scale solar installations, and grow the C&I side of the business.
    • Prepare bids for upcoming tenders from various agencies such as NGOs, Govt.
    • Expanding the Power Solutions in Sierra Leone, Liberia and Guinea
  •  Supporting Management Team
    • Report to Senior Management team about performance variables, cross-sales opportunities and competitors’ strategies
    • Collaborate and share best practices with Management and other Easy Solar employees (Support will also be provided by line manager in collaborating and sharing best practices with the Technical Sales Representative)
  • Team
    • Work with and build a team of Solar Engineers focused on in Sierra Leone
    • Work with the Business Development Lead to build a team of Sales Engineers in Sierra Leone and  Liberia

Required Skills, Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree In Science or Engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years of sales experience within Sierra Leone or similar geographies
  • Dynamic, target-driven and highly motivated self-starter that possesses a hands-on approach and social competencies for teamwork and management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Fluency in English is a must and an understanding of Krio and other local languages would be an added advantage
  • Sound knowledge of sales reporting, lead tracking and customer management
  • Computer literacy (including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
  • Creative approach in identifying new sales opportunities and customer engagement

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field (MBA is a plus).
  • 7+ years of experience in sales leadership, ideally in off-grid solar, fintech, telecom, or FMCG.
  • Proven track record of driving sales growth and leading successful teams.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to inform decisions.
