1.) Church and Community Mobilization Coordinator

CHURCH AND COMMUNITY MOBILIZATION COORDINATOR
Living Water International (LWI) is a global non-governmental organization that exists to demonstrate the love of God by helping communities acquire desperately needed clean water, and to experience “living water”—the gospel of Jesus Christ—which alone satisfies the deepest thirst. Living Water in Africa is providing safe drinking water, Christian Witness sanitation and health education to communities across Africa. Living Water International-Sierra Leone based in Freetown, and Moyamba has a vacancy for an experienced and qualified Sierra Leonean to apply for the position of CHURCH AND COMMUNITY MOBILIZATION COORDINATOR: This role will report to the program Manager.
POSITION: Church and Community Mobilization Coordinator
RECRUITMENT PRIORITY: Immediately
LOCATION: Moyamba and Western Rural
REPORTS TO: Program Manager
POSITION START DATE: January, 2025
Purpose of PositionDevelop, implement and monitor, and communicate impacts of the strategies on Church and Community mobilization for WaSH focused transformation as contained in Flourish. Support local churches to work with communities in taking effective action in water, sanitation and hygiene programs as an expression of the integral mission of the Church; and to strengthen effective discipleship strategies for office and partners. Promote Kingdom oriented relationships among church and ministry partners for effective networking for the common good through expressions of integral mission and WASH. This position works with the Country Manager/Director to develop capacities, best practices, and a passionate commitment to the Christian life and LWI’s core values centered on demonstrating a quality and exemplary life.Core Values:

Major Responsibilities
- Support the Country Director/CCM Manager/Program Manager in developing a multi-year strategy for church and community mobilization for spiritual and physical transformation
- Direct the design and implementation of church and community engagement, focused on promoting integral mission.
- Assess the presence of local churches (Christian congregations) in communities and develop a strategy to mobilize stakeholders to play a key role in Community programs.
- Ensure that the gospel is clearly presented in each community where LW activities are performed.
- Coordinate and supervise the activities in Church and Community Mobilization, and hygiene and sanitation training.
- Collaborate with LW partners to learn and share project experiences on Integral mission and work with local churches.
- Complete in due time, LWI’s regulatory compliance report, preparing a weekly work plan and a monthly report detailing the results of the CCM activities reviewed and approved by the supervisor.
- Assess the effectiveness of the Church mobilization and Community Mobilization strategy by providing follow-up and support on the needs presented in the implementation of the strategy.
- Ensure that all LWI quality standards are followed for all CCM Activities
- Develop and recommend tools and strategies for staff spiritual development in a country office
- Ensure proper capacity building of TOTs and local pastors in Oral Bible Storying techniques;
- Prepare, coordinate and direct spiritual and devotional meetings and retreats with the staff, to share the word of God and cultivate authentic Christian community among the staff.
- Do any other duties in line of work line as shall be requested by the Supervisor.
Business Competencies and General Skills
- Knowledge and application of tools and methods that support Church and Community Mobilization
- Skills in communicating the stories of transformation (MSC) and promote the Flourish model among staff, partners, strategic network alliances etc.
- Microsoft, Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Understanding and practice of integral mission
- English language skills at an advanced level.

Qualifications/Experience
- Degree in Business Administration / social studies / Theology or a related field.
- Proven experience working with churches and organizations to develop strategic missions
- Four (4) or more years of experience working as a Project Manager or in a relevant Management position.
- Experience and a high degree of discernment around the promotion, equipping and ongoing encouragement of the practice of integral mission at the local church level

Living Water International-Sierra Leone based in Freetown, and Moyamba has a vacancy for an experienced and qualified Sierra Leonean to apply for the position of SANITATION AND HYGIENE CORDINATOR. This role will report to the program Manager.

Purpose of PositionOversees the development and implementation of culturally appropriate hygiene and sanitation programs that strive to initiate and sustain a positive behavior change within the communities. Provides training and support to HS facilitators and communicates effectively with the Program Manager and other staff to ensure the H&S program is integrated appropriately into the overall development plan. Acts as a LWI H&S representative to other WASH organizations or local partners implementing hygiene and sanitation programs.Core Characteristics:

Major Responsibilities
- Provide support to the Country Director/Program Manager in hygiene and sanitation areas.
- Research and implement effective hygiene and sanitation promotions which are contextually/legally appropriate in country
- Work with the M&E Officer/Manager to coordinate baseline surveys within targeted areas
- Train and oversee hygiene and sanitation facilitators as well as verify the correct application of all classes shared to the community members.
- Assess H&S data collected, analyze and develop training materials to address gaps
- Document a training plan, develop a field report of training interventions and update the Program Manager in a timely manner.
- Participate in training of community members, schools, churches and other beneficiaries in the H&S promotion strategy.
- Ensure records, reports and logs of trainings undertaken are up-to-date and submitted to the Program Manager
- Act as liaison between LWI and other WASH organizations or local partners implementing hygiene promotions
- Monitor and review promotions on a regular basis and be able to take corrective actions, if needed
- Ensure Living Water Global Quality standards and H&S guidelines are being met
- Ensure and oversee H&S Facilitators keep all supplies and materials ready to use for the classes in the communities by maintaining the proper inventory and budget

- Good reporting/writing skills
- Knowledge of Hygiene and Sanitation issues in country
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs
- Advanced English reading, writing, and speaking skills
- Availability to travel inside the country
- Valid drivers’ license
Qualifications/Experience
- Professional degree in Nursing/Public Health/Social Sciences or related field
- Knowledge of participatory hygiene approaches such as SLTS/CLTS/PHAST, Community Care Groups and Community Health Clubs
- Knowledge of behavior change methodologies
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role, including developing multi-faceted H&S programs for NGOs.
- Evidence of completing H&S trainings such as completion certificates from LWI trainings, CLTS trainings, etc.
