Position Overview
Partners In Health Sierra Leone is seeking a talented and passionate Multimedia Specialist to join our communications team. The successful candidate will perform a variety of tasks with a high degree of creativity and latitude. As a multimedia specialist, you will be working closely with our other team members to design and produce high-end visual, audio, textual, and animated content for the work we do.
To ensure success, you should have a background in digital design, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate on projects. Ultimately, a top-notch multimedia specialist is someone whose visual design skills translate into high-quality animated content that engages our audience.

We are seeking a talented multimedia specialist to join our communications team. As a multimedia specialist, you will be working closely with our programs and clinical to design and produce high-end visual, audio, textual, and animated content for our work.

The Multimedia Specialist will work as an integral member of the communications team.





Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Developing multimedia content ideas in collaboration with other team members.
Designing and producing attractive multimedia content according to program specifications.
Creating digital images, video animation, and textual animations.
Creating original artwork for digital image processing.
Creating animated sequences using computer animation software.
Recording, editing, and encoding audio and video files.
Performing media edits based on user feedback.
Design, create and produce presentations, social media, and special projects for marketing, communications, onboarding, and special events using sound, video, and other multimedia tools.
Collaboratively create, develop and maintain the creative vision of PIH using photography and videography.
Collaborate with other team members, including programmers and clinicians to incorporate their work into video productions.
Design, plan, produce and maintain social media content to effectively market the PIH brand.
Collaboratively manage multimedia assets on social media sites, such as Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook.
Coordinate with other PIH sites to create and edit video footage for special projects.
Perform other duties as assigned.

The Advocacy, Communications and Campaign Manager (ACCM) will be responsible for planning and coordinating events to promote Country Office programmes, initiatives and campaigns around our thematic areas of education, protection, health, livelihood and food security. Duties will include coordinating efforts of different agencies and networks and; developing strategic plans for communicating our brand message. They will work with the Advocacy, Communications, Campaign and Media team to create, execute and monitor advocacy activities and campaigns. They will represent the Country Office in both internal and external meetings with INGOs, the UN, donor and other stakeholders.

This role requires a dynamic, driven and results oriented Advocacy, Communications and Campaigns Manager to join our team. They will be expected to guide the country office in new data driven initiatives for campaigning in line with our advocacy agenda which strives to influence policy and decision makers to take steps to strengthen and create an enabling environment for robust legal frameworks and mechanisms that will ensure the realisation children’s rights in Sierra Leone.

This role is for a period of twelve (12) months with a possibility of extension.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

THE ROLE: Technical Director / Deputy Chief of Party: Strengthening Integrated Health Services Activity (SIHSA)

Save the Children is recruiting for an experienced Technical Director/Deputy Chief of Party that will work with the Chief of Party in coordinating and implementing the anticipated USAID-funded Strengthening Integrated Health Services Activity (SIHSA) in Sierra Leone. The SIHSA is designed to improve the quality of family planning, maternal newborn child and adolescent health, and malaria services; promote adoption of crucial health behaviors; and strengthen the stewardship and governance of the Ministry of Health and Sanitation, both at central and district levels in Sierra Leone.





The Technical Director / Deputy Chief of Party (TD/DCOP) will report directly to the Chief of Party and ensure technical implementation of high impact, proven interventions meet stated goals and reporting requirements. This individual will assume the responsibilities of the COP in their absence. The TD/DCOP will support the COP in coordinating with USAID, key stakeholders, implementing partners and government representatives and leads coordination for technical and operational aspects of the project.   1. Ensure the FTTC communications work is well planned and monitored
    • Develop and implement an overall communication, education and public awareness (CEPA) strategy
    and action plan for the promotion, marketing and dissemination of project results, impacts, lessons,
    best practices and findings over the duration of the FTTC project until December 2022, with the
    possibility of extension until June 2023
    • Source input from the FTTC project personnel, CBO partners, FCC, WARDC, Min of Environment
    and other key stakeholders into a bi-monthly FTTC newsletter
    • Oversee technical and production support and overall quality control of EFA SL’s communication
    materials as required;
    • Ensure that all communication materials are conformed to EFA house styles, and meet donor
    visibility requirements.

2: Communicate on EFA SL’s overall country program to the general public
• Act as the Communications focal person – with mainly the partners/collaborators – to ensure that
information is disseminated to partners and externally to collaborating organizations, and that updates
are provided in a timely manner;
• Provide support in communicating project activities and issues relating to EFASL’s work to
government agencies, civil society organizations, and media outlets through inter alia the issuing of
news alerts and media material;
• Build relationships with the national media;

  1. Ensure regular updates of the EFA SL website, FTTC project newsletter and social media platforms
    • Assist with monitoring visits to various project sites to ensure communication with local
    representatives of the beneficiary communities.
    • Capture lessons learned / case studies from grantees, and disseminate/communicate to other
    grantees, CEPF and external audience when appropriate in a way that will make it easy to
    be absorbed by others;

Regular/Routine:

  • Ensure that the strategies of the bank are implemented.

Qualifications:

Momentum Country Global Leadership (MCGL) project is a five-year global project funded by the USAID to provide targeted MNCH/FP/RH technical and capacity development assistance (TCDA) to countries to facilitate countries’ journeys to self-reliance. MCGL also aims to contribute to global technical leadership and learning, and USAID’s policy dialogue for achievement of global MNCH/FP/RH goals through support to globally endorsed MNCH/FP/RH initiatives, strategies, frameworks, guidelines, and action plans.  In Sierra Leone, the project will begin as a six-month COVID-19 rapid response effort led by Save the Children.





This position will support the government efforts in healthcare system strengthening especially with a focus on RMNCH services at the district level. S/he will represent the project at district level forums, meetings and consultations on policy and technical issues related to the project’s objectives. S/he will work closely with both the technical and programmatic teams based in the field office and country office. S/he will ensure the regular monitoring of indicators and coordinate with relevant stakeholders at the district and national level.

The PHO will be reporting directly to the District Health Coordinator. She/he will play a key role at district level in ensuring that MCGL is well represented and that MCGL is always meeting key project deliverables in a timely manner. She/he will be based in either Pujehun /Kailahun/W-Urban/ W-Rural district and will be operating from the SCI offices.

With the dual programming approach that SCI has, in the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the PHO will be expected to work outside the normal role profile in order to support the emergency response and will be expected to ably vary working hours accordingly.





QUALIFICATIONS DESIRABLE  

  • Relevant Higher National Diploma or equivalent qualification, preferably relevant to the project.
  • At least three years of relevant experience, preferably in INGO setting

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • Proven experience implementing projects or programmes related to teenage pregnancy, adolescent sexual/reproductive health, gender-based violence, child protection, or related issues.

Job Summary:

The Communications Assistant will work closely with programs staffs to create content and to ensure strategic alignment of communications, consistent messaging, and a strong brand identity. The Communications Assistant creates content and uses effective communications channels to reach several different audiences and help increase CRS Sierra Leone positioning for funding and influence.  This includes stories, multimedia and reports as required, as well as ensuring CRS’ compliance with donor branding and marking requirements. The job holder will also support social behavior change communications on Malaria, Tuberculous and COVID-19.




Roles and Key Responsibilities:

  • Write, design, and coordinate the production of creative and compelling communication and marketing material –stories, photos, video, fact sheets, brochures, etc. – for various audiences, including public and private donors, local and national governments, local Church, partners, media, and others as needed.
  • Coordinate freelancers in the production of above marketing materials as needed.
  • Support the procurement processes for licenses, equipment and applications needed to implement the CPs communications strategy.

  • Minimum two years marketing and communication experience, ideally for an NGO or another organization in development and relief programming.
  • Minimum 1 years’ experience developing and implementing SBCC strategies targeting vulnerable groups in remote setting.
  • Excellent English language oral and written communication skills is required.

Job Summary:

You will provide service in the day-to-day delivery of responsive, effective, and efficient financial administrative activities in support of the Catholic Relief Services’ (CRS) mission to serve the poor and vulnerable. You will provide consistent and high-quality service and contribute to the proper stewardship of resources to help ensure operational effectiveness in support of high-quality programming




Roles and Key Responsibilities:

  • Writing all disbursement and receipt vouchers
  • To provide support and training for colleagues as appropriate, contribute to improve project compliance objective.
  • Ensuring all cash disbursement requests are processed within 2 days of receipt
  • Ensuring the proper codification of all transactions
  • Entering all vouchers in the excel template daily and send the template to Freetown weekly
  • Checking and verify petty cash transactions for reimbursement
  • Deducting and reconciling withholding taxes
  • Compiling the consolidated receipts and payments reports and cash request reports monthly for dispatch to Freetown within 4 days
  • Receiving and recording all cash summited to the office on a daily basis
  • Collecting and banking all cash/cheque receipts within 24 hours
  • Writing and issuing out cheque
  • Updating the cash receipt and cheque disbursement ledgers on a daily basis
  • Interacting with bank for details of transactions and bank statements
  • Updating cash balances for all CRS accounts daily to ensure that none is overdraw
  • Ensure that project expenses are monitored against the project budgets, time liquidation of project and other advances per CRS policy and follow up on delayed advances liquidations
  • Accompany project officers on project visits and assists them in the review of the advance liquidation and liquidation systems applied by the partners
  • Any other duties that may be assigned by the head of finance or area manager.




Typical Background, Experience & Requirements:

Basic Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required. Professional diploma/Certificate or courses in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration a plus.
  • Minimum of two years of work experience in a similar role with some familiarity of standard accounting practices. Experience with an international organization a plus.
  • Experience using MS Office packages, particularly in Excel and Word. Hands-on experience with data entry into online databases and forms.

Job Description

RESPONSIBLE TO:

The Marketing & Communications Coordinator is responsible for the planning, direction, control, and coordination of all Marketing and Communication activities in the hotel, with an emphasis on Public Relations, Branding, Social Media, Content Marketing, CRM, Partnerships, B2B Marketing / Sales support and B2C Marketing.

The Marketing & Communications Coordinator will report directly to the Director of Sales and Marketing, with a dotted line to the Africa Marketing Manager and Area PR Manager.

MAIN OBJECTIVES

▪ Responsible for the development and effective implementation of Marketing and Public Relations strategies for the hotel.

▪ Working closely with the Director of Sales and Marketing and the hotel’s wider commercial team to ensure the development of the hotel strategies and activity roll-out and execution.

▪ In parallel, working closely with the ASO MarCom team to ensure alignment on all strategies and activities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Marketing General

  • Input and set up of the hotel Marketing Activity Plan in consultation with the Area MarCom team and Director of Sales and Marketing.
  • Monitor trends in all relevant media to ensure brands and hotels are up to date with the market and monitor competition activity in media
  • Ensure close relationship with relevant media to ensure cost-effective and creative ways to increase brand awareness and effective campaigns and activities. Online – Offline
  • Local adaptation of Corporate, Area, and Regional campaigns
  • Identify potential outbound promotional opportunities together with ASO.
  • Ensure a coherent brand message and tone of voice
  • Deliver creative, innovative, and effective advertising, collateral, sales tools for the hotel.
  • Responsible to ensure all text content, imagery, videos on owned and 3rd party B2C and B2B channels are on brand and content scores are at 100% and regular self-audits are in place.
  • Ensure all tools and systems available and recommended by RHG are used (mandatory and optional)
  • Work closely with sister hotels in the city/country to increase synergies

PR & Communications

  • Develop and implement regional PR, digital communication and social media plan to promote the hotel and brand within the media market, in cooperation with the Area Support Office
  • Serve as the liaison between Area Support Office and the hotel team on all communication matters
  • Promote the hotel, brand, destination, and hotel executives through social media networks, trade shows, interviews, press conferences, media dinners, photo calls, and events.
  • Research and seek innovative PR (online and offline) opportunities, including identifying opportunities for the placement of stories and the promotion of spokespeople
  • Direct any local PR agencies in terms of managing the brief, the pitch, and the appointment process and working closely with the agency to promote the hotel.
  • Develop and maintain media and online journalists/bloggers lists for use on a regional basis in liaison with the corporate PR agency and Area PR team.
  • Write, edit and submit news releases to the media locally and regionally.

  • Establish the annual B2C and B2C Marketing plans for the hotel

Partnerships

  • Optimize and effectively the company’s existing partners through joint promotions and events

Digital Marketing

  • Identify and implement solutions in order to drive revenue through online channels and direct purchases influenced by online messaging for the hotel.
  • Review SEO and SEM, META Search engine programs, and Display programs in coordination with ASO
  • Review hotel online strategies and assist with online campaigns to ensure the correct target market and high ROI.
  • Developing online strategies and implementation of online activities for the hotel based on joint property plans and in lieu of Commercial Focus Group or Smart Funding activities.
  • Ensure correct content and tools are applied to brand web
  • Use RHG and industry analytics to measure the effectiveness of online initiatives and report to all GM, wider Commercial team, and ASO.

Social Media

  • Manage the execution of the company’s social media strategy

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Content Development for internal and external Engagement

  • Produce high-quality child-focused written stories that demonstrate World Vision’s impact for engagement on digital channels, and marketing, fundraising and public engagement.
  • Produce high quality, child-focused visual content (photo and or video) that inspires, engages and positively transforms diverse audiences.
  • Support the production of high impact communications products to facilitate World Vision’s external engagement efforts and resource acquisition.
  • Initiate relevant topical content in support of World Vision’s key priorities and key global moments for use to engage audiences.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with field staff to facilitate successful coordination and planning of field visits.

  • Coordinate and facilitate media engagement during emergencies, including draft social media updates, key messages and press releases.

Internal Communications

  • Participate in the design of communications business plans and initiatives that ensures the communications department delivers high-value results.
