SILLAH IMPROVE LOCAL FARMING (SILFA)

SILFA is developing a solution helping farmers to efficiently identify, compare and buy digital agricultural products and services fitting to the needs of their farm operation. Furthermore, SILFA revolutionizes the market for suppliers by reducing their customer acquisition costs, increasing sales while still maintaining their personal touch with customers.

Over the next couple of months, we will focus on product/market fit, investment proposal and building the team. Your role

• Together with the founding team, you validate and develop a new business opportunity based on your ag industry expertise (e.g., crops and the crops business specifically about SILFA), network & knowledge • You build a sound, scalable, high performance tech organization including the development of a business plan incl. operational strategy, investment needs, market entry strategy, marketing plan and hiring needs • For the first three months, your focus will be on conducting and evaluating interviews with end customers and impacting the product development and the shaping of the value proposition of SILFA • You are the knowledge hub and continuously upgrade your knowledge on the latest trends and agriculture practices with a special focus on smart agricultural solutions • You are the face of the company to the outside world and build a strong presence in the market You offer • A true founder mindset. Hands-on, driven, resilient, not taking no for an answer. Fully aware that being a leader comes with a strong upside but none of the economic security of a career -- and happy with it • Formal education or experience in agronomy or any agriculture related field by any means necessary. A Master's or PhD degree/Bachelor degree is a strong advantage • A solid academic background, preferably with a degree in business administration, engineering, or any related commercial / technical disciplines are considered a strong advantage. • Market & industry knowledge, with good network of growers who share your passion for continuous improvement • Several years’ experience in similar roles and industries • Proven people leadership in an agile work environment • The mindset of a grower: translating solution offerings into retailer & grower requirements • A track record of exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills that inspires confidence and trust. A mix of entrepreneurial spirit and agronomic acumen is an ideal combination • Deeper knowledge of business administration, venture capital or startup experience are considered a plus • A good sense of humor and a great team player • Fluent in English and Knowledge and passion for the (digital) agriculture industry is a strong plus
