Role definition
Role purpose

To provide logistics support within Christian Aid’s office in-country. To drive staff, visitors and goods to required destinations timely and safely.  To maintain all Christian Aid vehicles, including safety equipment. To ensure any complex vehicle repairs are carried out by the appropriate service provider.

Key outcomes

  • Ensure vehicles are fueled and log kept as appropriate
  • Adhere to road safety rules and all CA rules
  • Ensure maintenance of vehicles on a periodic basis
  • Pick-up guests and other staff and drop them off to their required destinations
  • Deliver important documents and parcels to required destinations
  • Ensure that all deliveries have been signed and delivered to the correct recipient
  • Always keep vehicle clean and maintained
  • Perform preventative and regular maintenance on vehicle

Role context 
The role works within the Administrative Unit and is key to ensuring staff, visitors and goods are taken to their required destination within Christian Aid’s offices in-country. Significant travel within country and occasional travel within region / division required.
Role requirements
Relationships 

External The post holder will interact with implementing partners and visitors in-country and will also be required to have contact with traffic officers.

Internal The role is managed by the Business Systems Manager.  The post holder will work closely with all staff.

Educated to school certificate level with basic knowledge of computer skills.  Must have driving licence and any other documentation required to drive a vehicle. A minimum of five years professional driving experience.
