1.) Programme Monitoring Officer
2.) Capacity Building Nutritionist

ABOUT US

International Non-governmental organization, Action Against Hunger has been working to fight undernutrition and support communities affected by crisis across the globe for almost 40 years and across nearly 50 countries. Action Against Hunger established its presence in both Liberia and Sierra Leone in 1991 during the Civil War and since then has been operational in the two countries by implementing various humanitarian and development programs related to health, nutrition, food security/livelihoods and advocacy geared towards the reduction of the prevalence rates of under-nutrition in both countries. Since January 2018, the two countries have been clustered and now operating under a single management structure. The coordination office is  based in Freetown, Sierra Leone overseeing the operations in Moyamba Field Office and Liberia Country Office.

1.) Programme Monitoring Officer

Action Against Hunger is recruiting a suitably qualified Sierra Leonean, as Programme Monitoring Officer who will be mainly responsible to monitor the sustainability and gains made by the Irish Aid project together with other grants. During this responsibility, s/he will ensure to maintain effective MEAL practises and principles among projects implementation in order to improve quality programming.

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Research, Assessment, Learning and Documentation

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Development, Social science, Public health /Agriculture)with 2-3 years working experience on programme monitoring and evaluation Degree in the relevant field

2-3 years of experience in Advocacy work in humanitarian setting.

Good motorbike riding skills with valid riders licenses-A must.

Solid knowledge and experience in the use of MS Word and MS Excel

Required Competencies and Skills:

Good motorbike riding skills with valid riders licenses-A must.

Solid knowledge and experience in the use of MS Word and MS Excel

Good communication and representation skills

WORK CONDITIONS

STARTING DATE: As soon as possible





DURATION OF CONTRACT: 12 months Sierra Leonean contract (Renewable)

LOCATION: MOYAMBA, with frequent travels to the field areas

REMUNERATION:

Monthly Basic Salary : Very Attractive

2.) Capacity Building Nutritionist

Action Against Hunger is recruiting a suitably qualified Sierra Leonean, as Capacity Building Nutritionist to support DHMT especially the District Nutritionists to carry out apacity building support including nutrition care and medical follow-up of the patients in OTP and/or IPF centres.

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Technical assistance and support

Reporting, Knowledge and information management

Joint supportive supervision and monitoring

Support the District Nutritionists in supply chain management within the framework of the accountability matrix (as per CBN recommendation)

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Nutrition, Medicine or CHO

3-4 Years’ experience in data collection and management

Required Competencies and Skills:

Good relations with other people

Good capacity to work in a team,

Capacity to manage priorities,

Good communication and representation skills

WORK CONDITIONS

STARTING DATE: As soon as possible

DURATION OF CONTRACT: 11 months Sierra Leonean contract
