1.) Prevention Program Manager
JOB SUMMARY
The role of the Program Manager is to manage two grants from one donor, addressing child trafficking in Sierra Leone. This person will lead a team of people with a kind, compassionate, and professional approach. They will develop relationships within specified communities where WHI is working, including community leaders at the chiefdom and district level, and at the national level. They will liaise regularly with the donor, to communicate about the progress of the project and will closely monitor the budget to ensure that it is spent well. They will be responsible for overseeing activity plans of staff, helping to ensure that activities are done on time and will also write clear donor reports.
MAJOR ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Representing WHI with stakeholders with regards to child protection, especially human trafficking
- Referring cases of survivors of human trafficking to appropriate support services: to other WHI staff, other organizations, Ministry of Social Welfare, Gender, and Children’s Affairs, and/or law enforcement
- Compiling regular clear and professional reports, on time
- Regular travel, in rural areas of Sierra Leone will be a requirement of the job
- Liaising closely with the Anti-Trafficking and GBV team of World Hope International
RECRUITMENT REQUIREMENTS
1. Education
Degree or certificate in Social Work, Gender or associated field, or relevant work experience
2. Job related experience and knowledge
Program management experience is a requirement.
Experience working with a protection agency is a plus.
Knowledge of child protection issues is required.
Must have a willingness to closely follow child and vulnerable adult protection policy and procedures.

3. Time required on job to reach effective performance
Probation period – Four months

2.) Field Officer
JOB SUMMARY
The role of the Field Officer is to empower people with a kind, compassionate, and professional approach. The Field Officer will develop relationships within specified communities where WHI is working, especially with community leaders at the chiefdom and district level. They will offer training for people in communities and make referrals to appropriate support services if they identify people
facing abuse. They will liaise with schools and Child Welfare Committees and WHI-created Village Parent Groups, where applicable, to increase the level of support and protection within the community.
