ASA Microfinance (Sierra Leone) Limited is a registered company limited by share and a subsidiary of ASA INTERNATIONAL (ASAI) (www.asa-international) ASAI was established in 2007 – with the mission to establish green-field microfinance institutions in Asia and Africa. ASA International strongly believes that sustainable and profitable business models can be created when focusing on the very poor and can be located in challenging operating environments. In doing so, ASAI is replicating the most cost effective and scalable model developed in ASA Bangladesh for its sustainability. ASA Sierra Leone has already established 46 branches and has the plan to open 55 branches in coming years to serve at least 55,000 poor clients. For better management of its business and to achieve its goal, ASA Microfinance (Sierra Leone) Limited is seeking application from suitable Sierra Leoneans for the position below:

Position: Loan Officer 

Location: Any District 

• • Market microfinance product to catchment area
  • Identify potential areas to select target poor people
  • Ensure smooth repayment- maintain discipline in every operational practice
  • Update software posting and maintain all related records on daily basis
  • Prepare reports – daily, week, monthly basis
  • Collect from groups 4-5 groups a day
  • Uphold organizations mission, vision & objectives and follow policies set for better management of the operation

• Other works related to job as and when required

Additional Job Requirements: 

• • Excellent communication skills in English and Krio .
  • Two well off guarantors (one from family member and One should be a civil servant) .
  • Police clearance

• Must have National Identify Number (NIN) 

• • Be a legal citizen of Sierra Leone

• Be between 18 to 30 years of age

• Be willing to work anywhere in Sierra Leone

Academic Qualification: 

Diploma in any discipline from any reputable institution with at least 4 (four) Credits in West Africa Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) and must be willing to check the result online using West African Examinations Council (WAEC) scratch at their own expense.
