King's Global Health Partnerships

Summary

King’s Global Health Partnerships (KGHP) is recruiting for the new KGHP Fellowship to support health systems strengthening in Sierra Leone. This opportunity is aimed at senior medics, nurses, midwives, paramedics, and allied health professionals with relevant experience to contribute to the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO)-funded Saving Lives Phase III programme. The programme focuses on improving maternal, child, and reproductive health outcomes while strengthening healthcare infrastructure in Sierra Leone.

KGHP is leading a Clinical Mentorship programme across six districts to provide nurses and midwives with lifesaving skills. Fellows will develop a hospital education team, implementing leadership in education programmes co-created with local hospital management.

Two Fellows in each district will help establish daily teaching sessions in hospitals, conduct clinical mentoring on hospital wards, and extend mentorship support to community health centres in a knowledge exchange initiative.

This Fellowship is part of a broader health system strengthening project, implemented in collaboration with Concern Worldwide and a consortium of six NGOs in Sierra Leone.
