BRAC Microfinance (SL) Limited is seeking applications from competent, dynamic, and self-motivated individual to fill up the following position.
Position : Manager, Internal Audit
Number of Position : One (1)
Job Location : BMSLL Country Office
MAIN JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist the Chief of Internal Audit (CHIA) in preparing individual audit plans, monthly audit plans, and the Annual Internal Audit Plan using a risk-based approach.
- Advise, supervise, and oversee audit activities carried out by the audit team in accordance with the approved Annual Internal Audit Plan.
- Independently conduct process audits, branch audits, and special audits, including high-risk and sensitive audit assignments.
- Conduct investigation audits personally, including fact-finding, evidence collection, root cause analysis, and reporting, as assigned by CHIA.
- Allocate, delegate, and assign audit engagements to internal audit staff and ensure effective utilization of audit resources.
- Ensure audit engagements are executed timely and effectively in compliance with the Internal Audit Manual, approved audit programmes, and audit objectives.
- Perform risk assessments and incorporate risk-based methodologies in planning and execution of audit engagements.
- Collect, review, finalize, and submit audit reports to CHIA within agreed timelines.
- Prepare and submit quarterly summarized audit reports to CHIA.
- Discuss significant audit findings, key risks, and control weaknesses identified during audits with CHIA in a timely manner.
- Attend and lead exit meetings with auditee management to discuss audit observations and recommendations.
- Review, evaluate, and discuss management responses to audit findings, including resolving disputes or disagreements.
- Ensure proper follow-up of audit recommendations and monitor implementation status of agreed corrective actions.
- Assist CHIA in developing and updating audit methodologies, audit techniques, audit guidelines, audit programmes, and checklists.
- Ensure conformity with the Internal Audit Manual and internal standards throughout all phases of the audit process.
- Ensure proper maintenance and preservation of audit documentation, including working papers, supporting evidence, permanent files, current files, circulars, minutes, and office memoranda.
- Conduct and supervise annual stock counts at the Country Office and BRAC Learning Centres, as applicable.
- Perform annual performance appraisals of internal auditors under direct supervision.
- Monitor internal audit team performance and identify training and capacity-building requirements.
- Arrange and facilitate training programmes for internal audit staff and support CHIA in conducting internal audit training sessions.
- Participate in Internal Audit Department meetings and contribute to discussions on audit issues and improvements.
- Prepare meeting minutes and submit them to CHIA in a timely manner.
- Ensure proper follow-up of decisions and action items arising from departmental and monthly meetings.
- Carry out any other duties assigned by CHIA in relation to the Internal Audit function
REQUIRED SKILLS/ COMPETENCIES:
- Communication skills, (Oral, Written, Report Writing and Presentation)
- Analytical critical thinking.
- Technical knowledge
- Proven knowledge of auditing standards and procedures, laws, rules and regulations
- Sound independent judgement and high level of confidence and integrity
- Computer literate with advanced level knowledge of Microsoft Applications (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE
- Masters/Graduate Level in Accounting/Finance/Auditing, Banking & Finance or any other related field.
- At least 5 years audit/Risk management working experience
- Experience on information systems risk assessments/audits
- Experience in reviewing financial and credit related documentation and activities
- Experience in conducting investigations, identifying fraud, strengthening internal control
and an understanding of related legal complexities
- Experience in managing a team and collaborate and coordinate between different teams
to achieve objectives
- CISA, Part qualified in CIA/ACCA can be an advantage

About the Role:
The AIM Regional HR & Operations Officer role is responsible for overseeing and optimizing operational efficiency across a designated AIM Region. The role is designed to strengthen HR service delivery in recruitment, staff welfare, performance management, and compliance with human resource policy (HRPP), labor laws and BRAC International standards and will be responsible for regional office level operational areas procurement, office administration, fleet management, in addition to serving as the primary safety & security focal person for the regional office.
Key Responsibilities:Â
- HUMAN RESOURCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Recruitment and Onboarding
- Support recruitment and onboarding process for Branch level staff (grade 4 and below) and casual staff in the assigned region and maintain an up-to-date recruitment tracker under the guidance of the Country Office, in line with recruitment SOPs.
- Verify statutory documentation (social security registration, national ID) for all new joiners to ensure compliance.
- Oversee probation reviews for field staff and ensure timely completion.
Contract and Records Management
- Track and manage contract start and end dates for field staff and notify the Country Office HR team in advance of renewals.
- Maintain databases for casual staff contracts and field office headcount, and forward reports to the Country Office.
- Ensure all staff at the field office are enrolled in statutory and organizationâs benefits that includes; medical insurance, GLA, GPA and social security for eligible staff.
- Manage administrative aspects of staff insurance coverage and benefits.
- Review and prepare payroll inputs (casual and support staff) for timely submission to the Country Office.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of staff timesheets where applicable.
HR Information System (HRIS)
- Provide training and support to field office staff on HRIS navigation.
- Maintain staff movement and attendance registers at field level.
- Monitor quarterly leave plans, update monthly leave balances, and ensure compliance with leave policies.
Performance Management and Staff Development
- Working closely with the Country Office HR team, support the performance appraisal process by guiding line managers and ensuring adherence to performance management timelines.
Health, Safety, and Staff Wellness
- Implement occupational safety and health measures, including regular workplace checks at field offices ensuring compliance with occupational safety and health regulations.
- Report and document any staff-related incidents/accidents to the Country Office HR.
- Facilitate staff engagement and wellness initiatives in collaboration with the Country Office.
Safeguarding and Compliance
- Promote a culture of safeguarding within all field offices by ensuring strict adherence to BRAC Internationalâs Human Resource Policies and Procedures (HRPP) and Code of Conduct, and by integrating safeguarding principles into all HR practices and staff activities.
Exit Management
- Ensure smooth completion of staff offboarding, including clearance processes, exit interviews, and documentation.
- OPERATIONS RESPONSIBILITIES
Procurement:
- Coordinate the development and implementation of regional procurement plans in alignment with organization-wide goals and Regional approved budget.
- Coordinate the end-to-end procurement process as per decentralized procurement thresholds and mandate, including receiving approved Purchase Requisitions, sending out requests for quotations to enlisted/prequalified suppliers and service providers, preparing quotation evaluation summary for Regional Procurement Committeeâs sanctioning, purchase order generation, monitoring and ensuring timely order/contract performance, and processing invoice settlement for submission to RAO, ensuring compliance with internal policies.
- Coordinate market research to identify new suppliers, assess product quality, and secure competitive pricing for goods and services in line with the organization procurement policy and/or guidelines.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and generate and share regular reports as required.
Office Administration:
- Oversee the efficient functioning of Regional and Branch offices, by ensuring regular maintenance and repairs to installations and equipment, so as to have a conducive and safe working environment.
- Coordinate the provision of office supplies and consumables, ensuring adequate stock levels, timely replenishment, and maintaining accurate and up to date utilisation documentation and reports.
- Supervise administrative staff (where applicable), providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
Fleet Management:
- Manage the regional vehicle fleet (where applicable). Including developing and/or implementing vehicle maintenance schedules to ensure optimal performance and safety of the fleet.
- Monitor fuel consumption and vehicle usage, identifying areas for efficiency improvements and cost reduction.
Safety & Security Focal:Â
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all safety and security matters within the Region, and act as the main liaison between the outsourced security service provider and the Region.
- Coordinate incident reporting, ensuring timely and thorough documentation of incidents and corrective actions.Â
- Safeguarding responsibilities:Â
- Implement programme decisions keeping the safety and dignity of programme participants/clients at the centre, mitigate safeguarding risks and contribute to a safe working environment where staff are respected and feel confident to voice concerns without fear of retaliation.
- Receive mandatory training on the safeguarding policies and reporting channels and have access to policies.
- Report safeguarding incidents witnessed or experiences to the Safeguarding department. For known cases, maintain neutrality, be sensitive and non-judgemental to victims/survivors, and cooperate with organisational investigations providing accurate information as needed.
Academic Qualifications:Â
- Bachelorâs degree or Advanced Diploma in human resource management, Business Administration, or related field.
Required Skills, Competencies & Knowledge:
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of labor laws, HR best practices, and HRIS.
- Ability to work with multiple stakeholders
- Strong facilitation and presentation skills
- Capable of working both individually and as part of a team
- Excellent relationship management skills and ability to communicate in all forms (written, verbal, negotiation, presentation skills)

Experience Requirements:Â
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience in HR, operations, or administration.

About the Role:
Support the effective implementation of the M&E system for the AIM programme. Supervise field-based M&E staff, ensure quality monitoring, evaluation, and reporting, and contribute to strengthening the overall M&E framework across the programme.
Key Responsibilities:Â
- Ensure the AIM programme quality monitoring touch points (TP 2, 3, 4 & 5) against the benchmark indicators set in the M&E framework and prepare monitoring report
- Ensures the authentication of quantity and quality of programme achievements via the MIS report and coordinating relevant staff; disseminates feedback and or reports to programme team.
- Develop and strengthen monitoring, inspection, and evaluation procedures and processes
- Use data and tracking systems (MIS) to assess, monitor, and report program performance and determine ongoing improvement needs.
- Conduct data verification via data Quality Assessment and compilation of the Management Information System (MIS) report.
- Monitor programme activities, expenditures, and progress toward achieving the project output
- Coordinate data integrity and management
- Support monitoring and evaluation of overall progress on the achievement of results (outcome monitoring including 1 & 6) and the sustainability of the AIM projectâs results
- Assist in coordination across the available components of the Programme to ensure effective implementation of M&E/MIS tools.
- Support the program with the training of PAs and mentors where applicable on data collections forms or tools including the HH survey tool and other data collection situated in the BInsight.
- Safeguarding responsibilities:Â

- Technical Skills: Proven experience in quantitative and qualitative data analysis, proficiency in Excel (often advanced) and tools like SPSS, KoboToolbox, or Stata.
- Sector-Specific: Experience with NGOs, USAID, or international development agencies, particularly in health, education, or refugee contexts, is frequently required.
