JOB TITLE: Minigrid Operations Analyst
LOCATION: Sierra Leone and the Republic of Benin
Job Summary
The Minigrid Operations Analyst provides first-line operational monitoring support for the company’s minigrid portfolio across three countries — Liberia, Benin, and Sierra Leone. The primary objective is the timely detection, analysis, and escalation of system issues, delivering decisive data, insights, and performance analysis to directly support country maintenance managers in enabling fast and effective field response. This role is a foundational building block toward establishing a structured remote monitoring and Network Operations Center (NOC) function.
Major Responsibilities
- Minigrid System Monitoring
- Conduct daily remote system checks across the country.
- Monitor inverter platforms and SCADA systems for all assigned sites
- Verify system availability, data reporting, and communication status
- Track and flag abnormal operating conditions, including generation and consumption anomalies, battery State of Charge (SOC) trends, frequency/voltage/current deviations, and phase overloads, imbalance, or missing-phase data
- Analysis, Alerts & Escalation
- Review all system alerts and notifications
- Perform first-level analysis using standard checklists and deliver structured insights to country maintenance managers
- Engage daily with country maintenance managers, providing the data and performance analysis they need to prioritize and direct field interventions
- Escalate critical issues promptly to the Senior Director of Operations with clear, structured email summaries
- Participate in daily stand-ups with the Operations & Maintenance team to report site status and open issues
- Create, update, and track maintenance tickets through to resolution
- Operations Dashboard & Reporting
- Produce daily reports capturing critical system points: sites’ daily generation & consumption, state of charge, temperature control, etc.
- Ensure the Operations dashboard is kept up to date
- Maintain accurate records to support operational reporting and performance reviews
Success Metrics (KPIs)
- Monitoring Discipline: ≥ 95% of daily monitoring reports completed on time
- Ticket Quality: 100% of tickets created with complete, actionable information requiring minimal follow-up
- Escalation Timeliness: Critical issues escalated within 30 minutes of detection
Tools & Platforms
- You will work with Victron, SMA, and ATESS inverter monitoring systems, alongside the company’s internal SCADA platform, CRM, and metering platform.
QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE/TECHNICAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Qualification required: Minimum qualification: Recent graduate or final year engineering student in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related technical field
- Basic understanding of solar PV, batteries, inverters, and electrical systems
- Comfortable with monitoring platforms, dashboards, and structured checklists
- Genuine interest in data analysis and a solution-oriented mindset, you enjoy understanding why a system is underperforming, not just flagging that it is
- Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency
- Clear written and verbal communication in English required; French is a serious asset
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.

JOB TITLE: Associate Project Manager
LOCATION: Freetown, Sierra Leone
Job Summary
The Associate Project Manager will support the planning, coordination, and execution of projects across multiple sites. This role requires strong organizational skills, proactive problem-solving, and the ability to work across cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Major Responsibilities
Project Planning & Scheduling
- Support the development and management of project schedules
- Coordinate planning activities with internal teams
- Maintain detailed work plans and track deliverables
- Monitor timelines and highlight any deviations
Meeting Coordination & Action Tracking
- Organise project meetings and prepare agendas
- Take detailed meeting minutes
- Track action points and follow up with responsible team members
- Ensure accountability for agreed deliverables
Risk & Issue Management
- Identify potential project risks and maintain risk registers
- Support the development of mitigation plans
- Monitor risks throughout implementation
- Escalate critical issues to senior management
- Assist teams in removing obstacles affecting progress
Stakeholder Communication
- Communicate project objectives, scope, and progress
- Provide regular updates to stakeholders
- Support reporting to management and external partners
- Ensure alignment between internal and external stakeholders
Field Supervision & Site Follow-Up
- Conduct site visits to monitor project implementation
- Follow up on on-site progress and timelines
- Ensure quality standards are maintained
- Report observations and recommend corrective actions
Team Support & Coordination
- Support cross-functional collaboration across departments
- Assist technical and operational teams in resolving bottlenecks
- Coordinate with procurement, engineering, and administrative teams
- Promote accountability and teamwork
Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Prepare weekly and monthly project reports
- Track KPIs and performance indicators

QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE/TECHNICAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Qualification required: Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field
Experience: 1–3 years of experience in project coordination or management (energy sector experience is an advantage)
- Strong organisational and planning skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and project management tools
- Ability to escalate issues appropriately and work proactively
- Willingness to travel for site visits
