1.) Operations Manager
Organizational Profile
Metro Transport Company (MTC) is a new bus company registered with Corporate Affairs Commission in Sierra Leone. MTC will be is charged with the responsibility to operate high-capacity buses (WAKA FINE) using the cashless system within the prescribed corridors West: covering Lumley to Central Bus Station, Wallace Johnson Street, and East covering Calaba Town to Central Bus Station as prescribed by the Integrated Resilient and Urban Mobility Project (IRUMP) in close collaboration with the regulatory agency, the Sierra Leone Public Transport Authority (SLPTA)
Job Tittle: Operations Manager
Metro Transport Company is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager to join our team and oversee the efficient and effective operation of our transportation services. As the Operations Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of our companyβs day-to-day activities
Location:Β Freetown
Duration:Β Permanent
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize efficiency and productivity
β Oversee the planning and execution of transportation operations, including scheduling, routing, and fleet management
β Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
β Collaborate with various departments to ensure seamless coordination and communication
β Manage and develop a team of transportation staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations
β Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards
β Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational effectiveness
β Monitor and control operational costs to meet budgetary targets

Experience and Education
Proven experience in operations management, preferably in the transportation or logistics industry
β Strong knowledge of transportation operations, including scheduling, routing, and fleet management
β Excellent leadership and team management skills
β Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
β Effective communication and interpersonal skills
β Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
β Bachelorβs degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field (additional certifications would be an advantage)

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and analyze financial reports, budgets, and forecasts
β Monitor and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable
β Manage payroll processing and employee benefits
β Assist in financial audits and compliance with regulatory requirements
β Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support strategic decision-making

Experience and Education
Masters in Business Administration (MBA),or related discipline
β Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance or accounting
β Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software
β Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
β Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
