Programmes include Alternative Care settings, Interim Care Centres, Youth care programmes that support more thanĀ 530Ā children and young people leaving in villages and in communities. In addition to quality care, we advocate for children, young people and womenās right, protection, safeguarding and empowerment. SOS Childrenās Villages also provide quality education to over 4,000 students through its Herman Gmeiner International Schools, Kindergartens and Technical Vocational/ Employability and Entrepreneurship Training Centre in support of care-exit strategies and reintegration processes. Other projects include the Youth Innovation challenge & Youth-Can! which support young entrepreneurs with their businesses and young people on their quest to employment. The emergency programmes aid vulnerable families cope with the impact of COVID-19 and the economic downturn to prevent family separation.
SOS Childrenās Villages in Sierra Leone is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Fund Development and Communication (FDC) Manager to join our National Office team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in leading the Fund Development and Communication Department, driving the organizationās visibility, fostering partnerships, and advancing local fundraising initiatives in alignment with SOS Childrenās Villagesā strategic objectives.
S/he will lead the design, planning, and implementation of effective fundraising and communication strategies.
Identify, cultivate, and manage funding opportunities with corporate partners, individual donors, and the Sierra Leonean diaspora.
Strengthen brand visibility and enhance public awareness of SOS Childrenās Villagesā mission and impact.
S/he will supervise and motivate the FDC team to deliver high-quality results and achieve departmental goals.
S/he will ensure excellent donor communication, relationship management, and timely reporting.
Uphold and promote compliance with SOS Childrenās Villagesā global policies and Child Safeguarding standards.
Skills, Qualifications and Experience
- A Masterās degree in Management, Marketing, Communications, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in fundraising, partnership development, or communication.
- Proven leadership, strategic thinking, and networking abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and digital communication tools.
- Fluency in English (knowledge of French is an advantage).
- Ability to work independently, under pressure, and in a multicultural environment.
WORK CONDITIONS
STARTING DATE:Ā 1stĀ December 2025
DURATION OF CONTRACT:Ā One year with a possibility of an extension based on performance and/or
availability of funding
LOCATION:Ā National Office (Freetown),Ā must be willing and able to travel to our field locations.

SOS Childrenās Villages in Sierra Leone is recruiting an ICT CoordinatorĀ to lead the ICT development of the organization. In cooperation with the Regional ICT Advisor, he/she will implement the SOS- Childrenās Villages International global and regional ICT goals, policies, strategies, standards and guidelines in the National Association (NA).
He/she designs the National Office (NO) and facilities ICT architecture and plans their long term ICT needs, ensuring that local long-term ICT requirements are met. He must also plan for short, medium and long term goals for ICT based on global organizational requirements of SOS.
The ICT Coordinator is responsible for the effective operations of information technology and information systems within the National Association / Sierra Leone. He provides functional supervision to ICT Officers / Teachers of programs.
Implements, and maintains all national ICT systems and standards in order to achieve a cost efficient and effective ICT environment in accordance with SOS Global ICT Standards.
Assume the responsibility for data security including the planning, design and implementation of security measures which safeguard access to the organizationās terminal files and data elements.
Define the ICT budget for the NO and facilities in accordance with existing needs.
Implements operating system enhancements that will improve the reliability and performance of the system as supervised by the Regional ICT Advisor.
Support NO and facilities to budget ICT investments and replacements of equipment in accordance with SOS Global ICT standards.
Ensures the installation, maintenance, configuration, and integrity of computer software across the National Association.
Participate in the conception and implementation of ICT4D projects in the NA. Give proper technical support for the choice of appropriate technology for the deployment of such projects.
Skills, Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor degree in IT/ Computer Science or IT Security. Additionally, certificate in network or server administration would be an asset.
- High level of integrity, and awareness of security, safety and cyber criminality
- Five (5) years of proven experience in IT Management and ICT solutions development
- Expertise in latest version of Microsoft Operating System and business applications (Off. 365)
- Understanding of Server Management (Active directory) and virtualization (Hyper ā V).
- Good Knowledge in Network Administration (LAN, VLAN, network policies and protocols).
- Good Knowledge of computerās hardware and maintenance process. IT security best practices and IT service management tools (ITSM).
- Have experience in the design and implementation of ICT and ICT4D projects.
- Skills on App design/creation and knowledge on renewable energy/ tech solutions would be considered as assets
- Have the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
