EXTERNAL VACANCY NOTICE / JOB TENDER CALL
St. Mary’s Home of Charity (SMHC), in partnership with Doctors with Africa CUAMM, is implementing the project “S.K.I.L.L.E.D – Strategic Knowledge and Inclusive Lifelong Learning in the Health Sector for Youth Employment and Development (AID 013244/04/2)”.
As part of this initiative, SMHC invites qualified and experienced professionals/consultants to submit tenders/applications for the following external service positions:
(1) Trainers for Food Management and Care
Tasks:
- Deliver practical and theoretical training on Food Management and Care.
- Teach modules in food safety, hygiene, nutrition, and catering techniques.
- Develop lesson plans, training materials, and evaluation tools.
- Guide trainees in hands-on preparation, presentation, and service of food.
- Support learners in developing employable skills and entrepreneurship potential.
Requirements:
- Educational qualification above WASSCE.
- Previous professional experience in food management and care.
- Proven teaching or training experience in food management and care.
- Previous work experience with Saint Mary Home of Charity is an asset.
- Experience in curriculum development and skills training is an asset
(2) Trainers for Food Catering
Tasks:
- Conducting both theoretical and practical training sessions in Food Catering.
- Developing and delivering training modules on meal planning, food safety, nutrition, and catering service management.
- Guiding trainees in cooking, baking, menu preparation, and event catering techniques.
- Evaluating trainee performance and ensuring practical competency.
- Supporting the implementation of food production standards and hygiene practices.
Requirements:
- Educational qualification above WASSCE.
- Previous professional experience in food catering.
- Proven teaching or training experience in food catering.
- Previous work experience with Saint Mary Home of Charity is an asset.
- Experience in curriculum development and skills training is an asset.
(3) Nutritionist
- Provide specialized training on nutrition, diet planning, and healthy food preparation.
- Advise on nutritional components within vocational training.
- Develop training materials and support youth-focused nutrition awareness programs.
Requirements:
- Educational qualification above WASSC in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field.
- Previous experience in nutrition education, public health nutrition, or food science.
- Strong background in applied nutrition within training or health projects.
(4) Expert for Job Guidance Service
- Offer job counselling and guidance services to trained youth.
- Assist in career planning, CV writing, and interview preparation.
- Deliver workshops on soft skills (communication, teamwork, time management, etc).
- Build linkages with the labour market and private sector for placement opportunities.
Requirements:
- Educational qualification above WASSCE in Education, Human Resources, Career Guidance, or related field.
- Previous experience in job counselling, career development, or employment services.
- Proven ability to connect youth with employment or internship opportunities.
- Experience in workshops development and life skills training is an asset.
