1.) Program Manager
JOB DESCRIPTIONÂ
Role :Â Program Manager
Reporting to :Â Executive Director
Summary Role DescriptionÂ
The Program Manger will also lead, manage and over see the program operations and ensure that activities are implemented in accordance with GESLâs approach and best practices.
Key Roles and ResponsibilitiesÂ
- Daily program management throughout the program life cycle; â˘Â Defining the program governance (controls);
- Leading the development of and managing the programâs budget; â˘Â Innovate programs to adapt to changing ecosystems
- Managing risks and issues and taking corrective measurements; â˘Â Effectively manage programs team
- Managing and utilizing resources across projects;
- Managing stakeholdersâ engagements
- Managing MEAL activities
- Leading and managing program documentations
- Lead and supervise fundraising activities
- Manage information and communication activities
ImpactÂ
- Improved value delivery throughout the program lifecycle
- Increased partnerships and fundraising opportunities through impactful programming and reporting
- Increased collaboration among stakeholders, fostering a culture of ownership ,shared responsibility for project success and sustainability.
- Optimized allocation of resources
Reporting and Role Management:Â
The Program Manager will be working closely with the Executive Director and work closely with the finance team of the organization.
Time Commitment and participationÂ
This role is full time.
Required Qualifications, Skills and ExperienceÂ
- BSc/BA in Community Development Studies, Social Work or Project Management or relevant field
- At least 3 year programmatic experience, paid or voluntary.
- A project/ programme management certification would be an added advantage.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office;
- Working knowledge of program/project management software is a strong advantage
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as a team member and independently. â˘Â Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure and to meet short- and long-term deadlines.
- Excellent Knowledge of performance evaluation and change management principles
- Knowledge of Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning frameworks and processes â˘Â Outstanding leadership and managerial skills
- Strong knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation procedures â˘Â Excellent problem-solving and solutions orientation ability
- Proactive and innovative in thinking
- Positive mindset and approach to the work

2.) Finance Manager
Job DescriptionÂ
Role: Finance Manager
Reporting to: Executive Director
Summary Role DescriptionÂ
GESLâs Finance Manager will provide support to GESLâs finance department to ensure adequate financial implementation and management of financial resources in line with GESLâs rules and procedures regarding all financial procedures.
Key Roles and ResponsibilitiesÂ
- Develop financial strategies by guiding GESLâs leadership team to establish goals; and matching goals to appropriate financial plans.
- Offer advice regarding financial management information to GESLâs Finance and Admin Coordinator.
- Design and contribute to the implementation of more effective policies and procedures guiding financial management processes and procedures.
- Support, guide and work closely with GESLâs Finance and Admin Coordinator to monitor the budget, analyses financial plans, evaluate strategies and recommending changes where appropriate.
- Support with annual budget preparation and tracking, proposal budgeting
- Support with audit preparation, facilitation and close out
- Review monthly financial reports generated
- Review of monthly bank reconciliations and cashflows
- Compliance- statutory, regulatory bodies
- Liaise with appropriate Tax entities to ensure tax compliance by overseeing annual financial  In his/her role, the Finance Manager should help GESL ensure:Â
- Presence of established cash control mechanisms.
- Updated and accurate accounting system.
- Regular internal audits are taking place of the existing financial management systems, procedures and practices.
- Identifies capacity gaps and areas which may require improvement and strengthening within the finance department.
- Review of all Finance documentation prior to board or donor submission- including but not limited to monthly, quarterly and annual and donor financial reports.

Reporting and Role ManagementÂ
The Finance Manager will be working closely with the Executive Director and work closely with the finance team of the organization.

Required Qualification, Skills and ExperienceÂ
- Preferably a CPA or Masters degree in related fields
- High level budgeting and budget management skills
- Able to translate financial information for decision making
- Strong computer skills (familiarity with MS Suite)
- Familiarity with Quickbooks and other financial software/systems preferred â Very strong leadership and communication skills.
- Very strong skills in financial management of programs
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to network and represent GESL at very high-level engagements. â Strong work ethics and integrity.
- Passionate about the development of Girls and making a contribution to that development
