Seed of Life Sierra Leone is a grassroots agricultural organization working to empower rural farmers, promote food security, and support sustainable community development. We are seeking a skilled and passionate individual to join our team as a Grant Writer & Fundraising/Marketing Officer. This is a remote position focused on securing funding, promoting our work, and growing donor engagement. This is a remote roles and candidates must have strong and reliable internet access.

Job Description: As Grant Writer & Fundraising/ Marketing Manager Lead, you will already be a passionate grant writer or fundraiser looking to expand your role, incorporating grant writing and fundraising. You will innovate and bring unique ideas to the role, developing a strong foundation to lead a successful fundraising team.

Key Responsibilities:
✓ Prepare and manage fundraising budgets, forecasting potential income and expenditure for fundraising initiatives.
✓ Monitor, elevate, and report on fundraising activities, providing regular process updates to the Finance Manager.
✓ Represent Seed of Life Sierra Leone at public speaking and networking events in the local business community (across Sierra Leone) virtually and in person when required.
✓ Researching and identifying appropriate funders whose criteria match organization development goals.
✓ Deliver and own fundraising strategies that will excite and motivate donors to support Seed of Life Sierra Leone.
✓ Train, mentor, and coordinate the contributions of volunteers and staff engaged in fundraising activities.
✓ Innovate new initiatives and campaigns to diversify income streams, e.g, digital fundraising, community fundraising, and corporate partnerships.
✓ Lead on prospect research and pipeline development to maximize future funding opportunities.
✓ Working closely with colleagues across the organization to develop fundable and fully costed proposals.
✓ Support the organization mission, values, and strategic aims, acting as an ambassador of Seed of Life Sierra Leone in all fundraising activities.
✓ Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed to support the goals of the organization.

Requirements: Minimum of 2 years' experience in grant writing, fundraising or marketing; excellent writing and communication skills in English; ability to work independently and meet deadlines; strong research and organisational skills; familiarity with donor platforms, fundraising tools, or proposal writing.

Qualifications: Diploma or degree in Communications, Development, Agriculture, or related field; experience with NGOs or agricultural projects; knowledge of Canva, Suno, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, MailChimp, GoFundMe or Google Workspace.
