1.) Social and Psychosocial Program Coordinator

Position Summary

The Social and Psychosocial Program Coordinator plays a vital role in advancing EduNations’ commitment to the holistic development and wellbeing of every student. This position is responsible for designing, coordinating, and implementing the Social and Psychosocial Support Program, ensuring that students receive the care, guidance, and intervention needed to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

The Coordinator provides leadership to social support staff, strengthens systems of care within schools and communities, and ensures that services are delivered in alignment with child protection standards, organizational policies, and EduNations’ Christ-centered mission.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Program Development & Implementation

  • Contribute to the design, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of EduNations’ Social and Psychosocial Support Program.
  • Ensure program services align with organizational policies, national regulations, and grant requirements.
  • Develop and implement intervention strategies for students facing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges.
  • Provide direct social and psychosocial support to current students and alumni of EduNations Senior Secondary School.
  • Monitor program effectiveness and recommend improvements based on data and observed outcomes.

Staff Supervision & Training

  • Provide leadership, supervision, and guidance to social workers, counsellors, and related support staff.
  • Organize and facilitate professional development workshops on topics such as counselling, child protection, child abuse case management, crisis intervention, and family engagement.
  • Monitor staff performance and ensure adherence to professional and ethical standards.
  • Promote a culture of care, accountability, and continuous learning among support staff.

Student & Family Support

  • Oversee case management services for students with social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
  • Coordinate referrals to community agencies and services, including mental health, housing, and family support.
  • Support family engagement initiatives to strengthen the home–school connection.
  • Ensure culturally responsive and contextually appropriate practices that respect the dignity of all students and families.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Serve as a liaison between schools, families, community partners, and external agencies.
  • Facilitate meetings with teachers, administrators, and parents to address student needs and support plans.
  • Represent EduNations’ Social and Psychosocial Program in national programs, stakeholder meetings, and consultations.
  • Work collaboratively with school leadership and program teams to support student wellbeing and success.

Administrative Responsibilities

  • Manage program budgets, grants, and reporting requirements in coordination with leadership.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of services provided and outcomes achieved.
  • Prepare regular reports for management, donors, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure all program documentation aligns with organizational policies and child protection standards.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of child development, trauma-informed care, and crisis intervention.
  • Ability to manage sensitive situations with professionalism, empathy, and confidentiality.

Experience

  • Demonstrated experience working inĀ education, counselling, or social services, preferably in under-resourced or rural communities.
  • Experience in case management, child protection, or psychosocial programming is strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with NGOs, schools, or community-based programs is an asset.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree inĀ Social Work (MSW)Ā or a closely related field preferred. Bachelor’s degree required..
  • Relevant professional certification or licensure (where applicable) is an advantage.

Position Summary

The Social Worker supports EduNations’ mission by providing direct social and psychosocial care to students, helping them overcome barriers to learning and personal development. This role focuses on case management, counselling, and student support services to promote emotional wellbeing, safety, and holistic growth.

Working closely with the Social and Psychosocial Program Coordinator and school staff, the Social Worker plays a key role in identifying student needs, delivering interventions, and strengthening connections between students, families, and community resources.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Student Support & Case Management

  • Provide direct counselling and psychosocial support to students experiencing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges.
  • Identify at-risk students and develop appropriate support and intervention plans.
  • Maintain individual case files and ensure proper documentation of services provided.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust support plans as needed.

Family & Community Engagement

  • Engage with families to support student wellbeing and strengthen home–school relationships.
  • Conduct home visits where appropriate to better understand student circumstances.
  • Coordinate referrals to community services, including healthcare, mental health, and social support agencies.

School-Based Support

  • Collaborate with teachers and school leadership to support student behavior, attendance, and wellbeing.
  • Participate in school meetings to discuss student needs and intervention strategies.
    Support the implementation of school-based social and psychosocial programs.

Child Protection & Safeguarding

  • Identify and report child protection concerns in accordance with EduNations’ policies and procedures.
  • Maintain appropriate professional boundaries with students at all times.
  • Support awareness of child protection practices among students and staff.

Administrative Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date records of all student interactions and services.
  • Prepare reports on casework and student support activities as required.

Report to:Ā The Sierra Leone Country Director

Role Summary:Ā The Administration and Human Resources Officer is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all human resources and administrative functions for EduNations in Sierra Leone. This role ensures effective staff management, employee welfare, regulatory compliance, and efficient office operations in support of the organization’s mission. The Officer works closely with leadership to promote a positive, safe, and productive work environment while ensuring that all HR and administrative practices align with organizational policies, project guidelines, and Sierra Leone labor laws.

Human Resource Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Offering counseling services and psychosocial support to employees.
  • Participate in the recruitment and disciplinary processes.
  • Ensure that Human Resource processes are in line with policies.
  • Participate in formulating, reviewing and implementation of human resources management policies and procedures.
  • Collect and analyze accurate employee data for the purpose of decision making.
  • Adhering to regulatory standards in accordance with Sierra Leone labor laws.
  • Managing employee complaints and disciplinary procedures.
  • Management of staff vouchers, payment statutory bills for staff.
  • Managing staff welfare, payment of benefit, leave plans and attendance.
  • Evaluating staff performance and appraisal.
  • Posting and ensuring staff work in line with the employment contracts and organizations policies.
  • Ensure fundamental human rights are maintained –  investigating any alleged staff violations and avoiding discrimination.
  • Liaising between employees and management on matters relating to employee relations.
  • Set up and maintain adequate staff records management system including but not limited to staff files, leave records and accrued leave report.
  • Organizing staff development activities including retreats, meetings, and assisting with teachers training and other training.
  • Ensure staff safety on official duties.

Administrative Duties:

  • Ensure that all administrative documents are prepared in line with the necessary policies and are kept in appropriate record.
  • Ensure that office space decorum is maintained and the office is safe and manage the security system..
  • Ensure that all records are maintained in line with the organization’s policies and procedures.
  • Managing Head Office assets including vehicles, stationaries, toiletries, and office fixtures and fittings.
  • Ensure that official activities are conducted in line with the organization’s policies.
  • Organizing activities that contribute to the motivation of staff.
  • Assisting Program Manager with College Scholarship and Loan Program as needed.
