What You'll Do (Simplified):
The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting PSI staff and supporting teams safely during official assignments. The position also includes maintaining the assigned vehicle and helping with logistics.
Key responsibilities include:
- Drive PSI vehicles safely while following Sierra Leone's traffic rules and internal transport procedures.
- Carry staff and authorised passengers to destinations in Freetown and other parts of the country.
- Inspect the vehicle and ensure it remains clean, safe and roadworthy.
- Monitor servicing, repairs and routine maintenance before problems become serious.
- Keep accurate vehicle log sheets, mileage records and related documentation.
- Make sure the vehicle has sufficient fuel and is ready for scheduled assignments.
- Support staff with loading and unloading luggage, equipment and other materials.
- Report accidents, traffic incidents, vehicle faults and other problems promptly.
- Assist with travel documentation, route information and mileage reporting.
- Provide logistics support to operational and technical teams when required.
- Follow PSI's fleet management rules and other organisational procedures.
- Carry out additional duties assigned by the administration team.
The role also requires punctuality, discipline and careful handling of official records.
