BACKGROUNDΒ
In West Africa, and specifically in Sierra Leone, adolescentsβ and young peopleβs (AY) access toΒ sexual and reproductive health (SRH) services and interventions adapted to their needs remainsΒ very limited, and a range of barriers hinder the exercise of their SRHR: the weight of socio cultural determinants, gender inequalities and social norms often unfavourable to earlyΒ sexuality or sexuality outside marriage, as well as AYsβ low decision-making power, weak healthΒ services, lack of access to information and financial barriers. Solthis has received funds fromΒ the French Development Agency (AFD) to implement SHAPE (Sexual and reproductiveΒ HealthΒ Β Access andΒ Promotion ofΒ Empowerment) project in partnership withΒ Community Action for theΒ Β Welfare of Children (CAWeC SL),Β Solthis will be responsible for the overall coordination ofΒ activities and will operate capacity-building for health professionals and improve the quality ofΒ care offered in public health centers while the local partner will roll out all communityΒ interventions.
SPECIFIC TASKSΒ
Under the supervision of the Project Coordinator, the midwives are responsible toΒ the midwivesΒ will oversee providing technical advice to project beneficiaries and partners.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Support to partner health facilitiesΒ Β
- He/she supports the staff of partner health facilities in organizing and offering qualityΒ health services adapted to the needs of adolescents and young people, in line with theΒ latest scientific evidence on SRH, in collaboration with the project coordinator and theΒ technical referent at head office.
- He/she contributes to organizing and leading the participatory diagnosis of practicesΒ on the projectβs themes in the projectβs partner healthcare structures, in collaborationΒ with the project coordinator;
Training and tutoringΒ Β
- He/she participates in identifying training needs and in the theoretical and practicalΒ training of healthcare staff on the projectβs themes, in collaboration with the projectΒ coordinatorΒ and in collaboration Solthis SRHR AdvisorΒ ;
- He/she ensures post-training follow-up of trained healthcare staff in the form ofΒ tutoring.
- He/she works in collaboration with institutional partners (school inspectorate, middleΒ and high schools) on iron/folic acid supplementation for young girls
- He/she participates in surveys/research carried out as part of the
Data monitoring and capitalizationΒ Β
- He/she supports (especially at the start of data collection) the projectβs monitoring andΒ evaluation team in collecting and reporting service data (consultation data, service related indicators, etc.).
- He/she contributes to the capitalization of project results in collaboration with theΒ projectβs medical team and the technical referent at headquarters (sharing of bestΒ practices, recommendations for the drafting of practice sheets, documentation ofΒ examples, etc.).

PROFILE REQUIREDΒ
EducationΒ :Β
- Advanced university degree in midwifery; health management; management; healthΒ sciences or related discipline.
- A Bachelorβs degree in midwifery or in a related discipline will also be considered.
- Registered Nurse/Midwife (essential/ mandatory)
ExperienceΒ :Β
- At least 3 years of relevant organizational and management experience in SRH,Β midwifery and/or maternal and newborn health programs.

Assignment
Tasks and responsibilities
- Accountancy / Cash-Flow ManagementΒ
Cashbox management using the encoding spreadsheet (in & out, follow-up sheet, regularΒ inventories to be signed by PC.
Weekly cash count of petty cash with PC
Follow-up of advances made for payments and any purchases.
Check all invoices/receipts (quality and the exhaustive information), prepare & encode the Disbursement Request to be submitted to PC and AFO, and ensure payments at the districtΒ level
Perform the encoding of petty cash box accounting documents, computerizing on Excel,Β Β Scanning, classifying, and archiving all vouchers/invoices/receipts.
Present to the PC and AFO requests of cash according to monthly forecasted expenditures.
2.Β Administration :
Ensure the βadmin-log reportβ presents an updated and accurate view of SolthisΒ administrative commitments.
Collaborate with the Project Coordinator, National Logistics, and the Administrative andΒ Financial Officer on the organization of training: distribution of DSA and transportationΒ expenses, attendance lists β¦
Work in close collaboration with the National Logistics to ensure compliance with SolthisΒ procedures in terms of procurement.
Assist the AFO in drafting contracts and ensure contractual commitments follow-upΒ (Insurance, Dwelling, Internet, Maintenance etcβ¦) and inform AFO/PC of relevant deadlinesΒ Assist the Project Coordinator in filing contractual documents for the office.
