Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Academic Counselor located in Freetown. The Academic Counselor will be responsible for guiding prospective and enrolled students throughout their academic journey. This includes academic advising, helping students select appropriate programs, supporting the admissions process, and providing continuous guidance to ensure student success. The role requires building strong relationships with students and collaborating with academic and administrative departments to enhance the student experience.

Qualifications
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Experience in academic advising, counseling, or student support services.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of the education industry and IT sector.
• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and student management systems or CRM software.

Responsibilities

• Guide students on academic planning, course selection, and program requirements.
• Monitor student progress and provide proactive support.
• Address academic or personal issues affecting student performance.
• Help manage student records and documentation.
• Collaborate with faculty and administration to support academic policies.
• Participate in student orientation and awareness programs.
