We partner to train nurses, midwives, and physicians, building health teams that can provide high-quality care and save lives. We do this by strengthening clinical care delivery, improving health workforce education, and supporting policies that enable health professionals to succeed. Intern Position
Communication Intern, Sierra Leone
Duties and Responsibilities for Communication Intern
- Social media content creation, monitoring of key channels and reporting.
- Media monitoring and reporting on relevant news articles and mentions.
- Assist developing regular content for the global newsletter.
- Supporting conference and event planning.
- Take minutes during meetings.
- Capture photographs and videos, including interviews, during events and project visits.
- Interview midwives, patients, and others and draft success stories for use on Seed’s website and in the global newsletter.
- Support as needed, the communications team, to collect and develop communications collateral including media stories, photographs, video footage, and audio for news outlets and social media.
- Other assignments as needed.
Qualifications
Communication Intern
University Degree in either Mass Communication, Journalism or Public Relations.
Working Conditions
- Will be based in Freetown, an office environment with at least 20% travel to the partnership sites/field.
