1.) Health Officer
CAUSE Canada Sierra Leone Partnership
Job Description: Health Officer, Dec â March 2026, with possibility of extension
Position Summary: To support the implementation of EmpowerHER Sexual and Reproductive, ensuring access to quality health services, community engagement, and capacity building of local health workers in alignment with national health strategies.
This position reports directly to the Program Manager
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIESÂ
- Provide direct SRHR services including family planning, antenatal and postnatal care, STI prevention and treatment, and adolescent health services.
- Support the integration of SRHR services into primary health care facilities.
- Â Ensure adherence to national SRHR guidelines and protocols.
- Train and mentor community health workers and facility staff on SRHR topics.
- Â Lead workshops and refresher training sessions for local health personnel.
-  Participate in community sensitization and outreach activities to raise awareness on SRHR issues.
- Collaborate with local leaders, youth groups, and womenâs associations to promote health-seeking behavior.
- Collect data on SRHR service delivery and community health indicators.
- Â Prepare regular reports and contribute to project evaluations and learning.
Qualifications:Â
EducationÂ
- Diploma or a bachelorâs degree in Clinical Health Nursing, Public Health, Community Health Services, or related field from a recognized Institution.
Experience:Â
- At least 2-3 years of experience in community health nursing, with a focus on SRHR or related fields.
- Experience working with a non-governmental organization (NGO) or preferably an international organization.
- Knowledge of the Sierra Leonean health system and policies/strategies related to Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SHRH).
- Experience working with Peripheral Health Units (PHUs) and other community health structures,
- Strong monitoring and quality report writing skills
- Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and proficiency in basic clinical procedures.
- Ability to ride a motor bike and possession of a valid driverâs license

2.) Field Officer

Job Description: Field OfficerâDec â March 2026 with of extension in the new fiscal year
Position Summary: The Field Officer will be responsible for the monitoring and implementation of the EmpowerHER project response in the field. He/she will facilitate, implement and coordinate project activities, community meetings, project beneficiary meetings and training/workshops.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIESÂ
- Work in remote project communities under the supervision of the Project Coordinator
- Monitor and review overall commodity movements such as food deliveries
- Ensure proper distribution of entitlements and verify that appropriate entitlements are distributed to beneficiaries
- Provide feedback to the Project Coordinator and Program Manager and cooperating partners with recommendations on how to improve the distribution process
- Assist in the implementation of the plan of action, review achievements and constraints and provide feedback accordingly
- Identify any apparent issues in the programme and report them to the appropriate personnel
- Submit weekly work plans and monthly community action plans
- Design and submit activity matrix and meeting/training schedule to Project Coordinator
- Write and timely submit weekly/monthly activity reports, minutes of meetings and training/workshop reports
- Collect/analyses and submit activity data as when required
- Carry out monitoring/follow-ups of project activities
- Carry out project assessments and identification/selection of project beneficiaries
- Distribute activity notification letters, community /district stakeholdersâ letters and project supply items to beneficiaries
- Appropriately represent CAUSE SLP in your areas of operations
- Carry out other related project activities that may be assigned to you from time to time by the project supervisor/manager
Required EducationÂ
A bachelorâs degree in social work, Public Health, Development studies, Gender Studies or a related field from a recognized Institution.
ExperienceÂ
- 2 to 3 years of related experience in the field/community-based implementation and monitoring.
- Experience in project implementation at the community level.
